Well done. What's also funny is the fact that he's answering questions about what kind of dog he is going to get in the first place. Well, I guess after all the dust is settled there is everyday life we have to get back to.
LOL! When I was a little girl and asked my mother, "What am I?" she answered as honestly as she could: "You are a mutt. A Heinz 57." Barak's a tanned mutt...I'm a pasty olive colored mutt. :-)
you taking requests? how about oil and the future of man? some say we have about 10 years to "finish up" turning it around. if we start now. what do you think of that? just asking if you take requests ;)
I don't think it's being naive to say that having Obama in the White House changes the racial dynamics of America, plain and simple. It's basically the fulfillment of that long struggle, and I'm glad I'm alive to have seen it. For the first time in my entire life I can say that I'm not un-proud to be an American. And we accomplished this without ONE single incidence of violence or threat, as far as I know. Amazing.
Superb, Xelander! He wasn't my choice, but if Obama works at desensitivizing (huh?) America to our differences, maybe we'll decide to become one people rather than polarized factions.
Not getting offended at silly benign jokes ... there's change I can believe in! Its only a small thing, but I think Barry O'Bama is getting off to a good start, the gift of the Blarney from his Irish heritage, don't you know.
It made me laugh when he said it to. In fact it more than made me laugh. It made me feel a warm personal kind of feeling with him. Like I could sit around him for an hour and actually maybe feel realtively comfortable. As comfortable as you could sitting with a world figure. This maybe far from the truth but it's what he makes you feel.
Did you hear the department of defense is going to have it's budget cut by 25% under an Obama administration? That's right, instead of missles they're going to have Barack bust out some Richard Pryor jokes and blare it over the foreign airwaves.
I be 67. I spose you be-nine?! Seriously, check Berl. on wikipedia. While I thought the joke was benign I thought it showed a lack of respect for the new leader of America. Regarding Obamas reference to his "Muttism", I don't like to hear people being self-depricating in order to prove they're not aggogant. I think Obama is a beautiful mix of all the best things we look for in a leader. Too, I'm Irish/Scotish/German. Uh-Oh,I guess you can't get much whiter than that! Look to your heart for love.
Well, I'm 54 and your 9 years old joke because you happen to not agree with my point is just as much an insulting display of disrespect as the "tan" bit as far as I'm concerned. I know Berl. is a major world asshole - the only decent thing he's done I know of was to finance Spike Lee's film about the black buffalo soldier in WWII that no America financier want to touch - cause don't honor those guys in our own country. But that still has nothing to do the point of my video.
Sorry. I didn't mean any disrespect. I was (and should have kept my mouth shut) trying to be funny. I guess we never learn that what we think is funny is probably going to offend someone so maybe we shouldn't make jokes. My attempt at humor had more to do with the word form benign and b-9 or be nine. Again I enjoy and respect your work so I hope you'll accept my apology. I'm not being self-depricating here, I'm being contrite.
Opps, my apology. I see you're joke now. That's why texted/typed messages can be so sticky, I guess, cause you don't have the tone of voice. But I should have known that coming from you it would not have been meant in a nasty way. You've always been positive about my videos. Sorry my friend. :)
And you totally miss the point if you think of it as Barack being self-depricating -- that's the whole point, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG with his mutt remark. It's as benign as you saying "can't get much whiter than that" Now if I were to accuse you of self-depricating racism for saying that comment, (about yourself) you would think I'm a nut case.
I saw the "mutt" comment but didn't hear anything about a demand for an apology... was there one? There are a lot of people in society who don't get humor, and he might have to occasionally say "I apologize if it offended you" to select groups of people to ward off the torches and pitchforks... on the other hand, benign jokes like that can help humanize him for some who are reluctant to trust him, so he shouldn't waste time over-apologizing; he has too much to do in too little time as it is.
I hoped that the US people vote for Obama, and they did, and I think that was a good thing to do. I hope he brings the USA back on a good course, and that means, a policy which solves conflicts like Afghanistan or Iraq, stabilizies the wasted economy and tightens the bonds between the US and Europe. The US faces many conflicts like terrorism and only a smart government will sove the problems. And I hope that Obama is a smart guy who knows that together every job is done more easy. So good luck!
People have to laugh more and not take things too seriously, for instance how many jokes have you heard about a Scots man, Irish man and an English man, do you hear us complain ? LOL
We all just laugh at them, jokes are not meant to offend, they are ment to make people laugh.
All this political correctness has gone too far and people are loosing there sense of humour or afraid to say anything.
Hey Mr X. Congratulations for Mr Obama! I was really pleased for us all. And nice video because I think it shows that he is not afraid to poke fun at himself. I think too many people take themselves too seriously. xBrigid
The mayor of the village wich is in the geometric central of Europe (between Slovakia Hungary and Romania) sent a present to the newly elected president of the US. The present was some peach.
In hungarian language the peach is "barack".
Though I think Obama didn't get the message.

I think Nancy Reagan gave him 0.3 for the comedy part of his news conference yesterday. Being on such a big stage with every word scrutinized must be hell man. Cheers.
Yes and then the seance crack..Just the time and place was a lil off IMHO. There are a lot of first ladies we can make cracks about... but I digress.. LOL :P
I'm not a fan either 'just say no'. My ideal - keep the bashing equal - tell me Hilary kept her mouth shut to Bill and I'll sell you Paris Hilton's virginity :0)

X - yes and he's in a new position that has even more expectations. My contention is just wrong time and place. The mutt comment made him endearing (IMHO) but the Reagan comment seemed a little out of line (for a leader).
Yes, and again, my point; even the Reagan comment, which was out of line wasn't a gross error it was about 3 or 4 in my book. I mean, I wouldn't impeach him or anything, throw rocks at him but he should watch it. The mutt thing is not only not a bad thing, I think it's positive.
If your family's lived in America for more than 2 generations, you're a mutt. We're all mutts. America has elected a black-identified mutt as President, rather than a white one. It surprised itself by becoming the place that it was always going to be in the future when we got better at getting along. When we grew up. Of course, adults make dumb jokes all the time.
Obama kept his promise of change just by being elected. Let's celebrate our muttness!
I commented on the 'other site' but wanted to add... if people get upset over 'mutt' they should read the comment Biden made about Obama when they were up against each other. "Those people" is way more insulting than 'mutt'... *sigh* LOL
How many "other sites" are there? Now I don't know where I want to comment! Is this an "other site" too? Will I get flogged for mentioning other sites?
Oh, anyway. I like that Obama has a sense of humor. But now I'm worried that he'll have to become humorless if people keep getting on his case for jokes.
