I am proud to call him my friend. Wish I could of tracked him down before he passed. This man gave me 4 harmonicas including the one he used when recording Green Acres Theme song before we parted ways. You will be missed and you were an awsome person.
You were a Living Legend, Eddie. And you will live on forever in our hearts. You were like a son to my Dad, the one and only Dave Doucette, and you were like a brother to me. You were a master of the chord when you were just a teenager, playing with the original Harmonica Masters, and the Puleo Gang, and continued to be an innovator in the field of many, many harmonica bands you formed with my dad and on your own. Miss you, pal. Have fun with the "Gang" up there!
Can't believe he is really gone. He was incredibly talented and a great friend. In the summer of '79 he was playing in Vegas with Jim Thomas. He was in the studio with Streisand and the Bee Gees recording an album and they played Dodger Stadium for a crowd of 56,000. All in a days work for him.It was such an exciting time. I was honored to be his friend.
Goodbye for now my dear friend...You were the best harmonica player that ever was, and I'll never forget the first time I saw you play at the Aladdin Hotel in the lounge in Las Vegas with your group, 'Love's Way.' I still have a picture of the marque with both of our names on the sign. See you in heaven, Eddie.
One of the last of the truly great, great players and a gentleman through and through. As much as I love the Blues, (and I do) it's probably the most minimal genre this guy was capable of "waxing" in. He could play almost any song you could think of and then some. He was a one-of-a-kind original. Requiescat in pace et in amore, Eddie. (>]:'o(~

This is so shocking! We were hoping for another collaboration with this amazing harmonica player. Very sad and much too soon.
