Great sound, great band and all masters. Killer solos as well. Thanks for being a bright spot in State of Texas. I don't know how you guys do it, but you do.
James has paid his dues. Lots of years and miles on the road building his craft and following. He's one of the best out there and is not just country.
Larry McMurtry's big successes came rather late in life for him---and they took place like 20 years or better after James started doing his music and since James took the "hard route" of making REAL COUNTRY music---not that poppy crap that comes from Nashville--he will never get the custom Prevost motorcoaches, stay in 5star resorts and fly to gigs in a G-5 jet like a Taylor Swift might. James is making real music--music that will last, not the throw away stuff Nashville "stars" like Swift do
you write about, cant make it here anymore, aren't you you the son of larry mcmurtry? lonesome dove? a rich kid? i know that, but aren't you priveleged? i like all your stuff, always have. didn't you you have advantages some of us never will?
This is about the dumbest thing posted in the history of youtube. Let that sink in for a moment... McMurtry is hardly living the life of luxury notwithstanding his father's accomplishments, and he has earned everything he has. Next time you want to want to express one of your thoughts, please don't. You have no idea what you're talking about.
Thanks for these videos of James. Is there any chance of you posting a version of Angeline from the same album. There are none on youtube that I can find. That is hands down my favorite song on his debut LP.

Don't feed the trolls. Attention for anti-social behavior only extends their suffering.
