Johnny and Gideon. The chemistry between them and their acting is wonderful. I actually prefer their kiss over Andy and Ben's. It's supposed to be Ernst first kiss so it's going to be slow and sweet. The other one looks too experienced and kind of takes me out of the moment. Not denying it's hotness it just doesn't work for me in this situation lol and to add another couple, Devon and Daniel from the 2NT did a beautiful job with this scene! But my heart will always belong to the OBC :)

I think Gideon was the best Ernst- seriously he is adorable and has the voice of an angel!!! My favorite Hanchens are 1.Jonathan 2. Jaime and hmmm.... Matt and Andy are both up there. Gotta go with the originals - Gideon and Johnnie B. They have the comic chemistry down, LOVE Gideon's voice, and nobody does that sort of vaguely predatory Hanschen the way JBW does. I will say, though, that the best singers as a pair are Matt and Blake, by far, but don't think Matt nails the humor quite as well. My least faves were the pair from the London cast. They were just ok for me, and the last pair were good, but the kiss was a bit over the top.

Ben and Andy have such chemistry, as do Johnny and Gideon. Gideon is my preferred Ernst, simply because he embodies the character. I adore his reactions to everything that Hanschen says/does. Andy perfectly portrays a sort of sadistic and power-hungry Hanschen. Jamie and Harry's scene was adorable, and I love that Harry practically jumped into Jamie's lap. Andy and Ben look the best together. I'd love to see Andy as Hanschen and Gideon as Ernst, just to see what sort of chemistry they'd have.

Jaime and Harr's scene was the funniest. I love the Ernst pretty much jumps into Hanchen's lap. As far as the kiss goes, Andy and Ben had the best one. For the entire scene, Jonathan and Gideon's was the best.

I definitely think both Matt Doyle and Andy Mientus are amazing as Hanschen, but I prefer Andy's rendition. Of course, I am very biased since he is the only one I have seen perform live. Plus I think he and Ben Moss definitely have the most realistic kiss, so I'd have to vote them my favorite couple.

From just these videos, I think Andy is the best Hanschen and Gideon Glick is the best Ernst (everything about him is adorable: his expressions, his voice, his face, even his name!).
