@UponLegions No, I agree totally about the Unity thing, but back when I was out raving properly, 90-92 ('Raving' was a very UK-based / UK-created phenomena back then), it was just DANCE music! All under one roof!
But it still stands, DnB was NEVER called Techno... it was all just DANCE music!
But then US techno (Detroit style) is a very different bird to the German style of Techno... its all subjective!

DnB has a predominately breakbeat feel to it, Techno is almost always a 4/4 beat.
I've been DJing for about 20 years, various genres and styles, so do you really wanna talk Old School? ;o)
