Review of the Palm Treo Pro

This device is pure crap. I used to be a fan of Palm phones, starting from Palm V in the late 90s, and ending with Treo 600, which was fantastic. Unfortunately the Treo Pro fails at almost every level. It's slow and unresponsive, the task management program is very poor, the keyboard is hard to type on and the screen is too hard to click. After 4 months the screen stopped responding altogether. I would not recommend this phone to anybody!

i have sorta small hands and even i had to type with my fingernails on this phone. the keys simply do not fit a finger of any sort, you have to use the absolute edge of your thumb or your fingernail. i dunno what the deal is with smartphone makers making phones with smaller and smaller keyboards. wtf

very accurate review. i've used the phone briefly and find that i agree about pretty much everything u said about it. its true, the palm pro is pretty much a basic windows mobile experience in a very stylish phone. people will be getting it for its looks, not its functions. that is, if their willing to spend $550 just for a phone's looks.

Dude dont get mad but I dont think you need a $550 dollar phone whn ur thirten but don t get becaus even the keyboard isnt even good. Get a better and cheaper phone like th touch pro or fuze if you have at&t and if you have at&t either get the Blackberry Bold

@SahijApple93- Do NOT get the Touch Pro 1, I had it and it was very glitchy, it had a hard time keeping up with what I typed on the texts, it took a long time to change screen interfaces, such as when I slid in the keyboard, and it wouldn't let me use the chat-style messaging, whenever I tried to it would send me back a text message saying that the message was unable to be sent, I had to actually click on menu and reply to actually SEND a text message. I am SO glad to be rid of it.

HOw does this compare to the Treo 650 or 700? As far as the interface, I think Palm considers Windows Mobile, & their devices that run it, to be specifically for business users. I don't see may general consumers with the Treo series.
