We tested the 2x4 design extensively. It takes a very good shooter about 50 shots to intentionally break the wood. (Testing was done with a 9mm at 10 yards). If you are aiming for the plate, the 2x4 will last the average shooter about 250-300 rounds. You can replace the board in 30 seconds at a cost of about $.65 cents. We also offer full metal target plates that eliminate the need for the 2x4. Thanks for your feedback.
Not feeling the wood. Let's be honest...the average person is not gonna hit the nice little plate every time. Only takes a couple of rounds to destroy a 2x4. From someone who likes steel targets, what I'd like to see is more steel at a more affordable cost. I'm sure the cost of good is what drives the price up but if you could figure out a more cost effective way, that would sell.
nice simple design, that seems to work well. something like this would be nice to have a couple (in rifle calibers) for sniper training. over our purchasing and review budget, but it is nice. I do wish they had a PING, but the wood in this case dampens the vibrations
The reactive targets are available in three versions:
Model CT100-S is offered with 4 different target plate options. Three handgun rated to .357 mag. One rated to 5.56 rifle.
Model CT100-H is offered with 7 different target plate options. Three handgun rated and four rated to 5.56 rifle.
Model CT100-M is offered with 2 different target plate options. Both are rated to .308 Winchester.

Lol I like the concept: If they get back up, shoot them again.

..Nice targets. Will the hold up to repeated hits with .40 & .45 FMJ? How about .308?
