  • @spontanous91151 that's some type of gar

  • how do they get their green coloration?

  • he looks awesome

  • That music was a surprise and made me laugh. Why would you put Dre to a bass in a tank? I liked it though.

  • They go well with Jardini Arowana?

  • @babyboikit

Nothing goes well with Jardini Arowana. Jardini's should be housed alone. Yes..... I hear all these people that say their Jardinis live in perfect harmony with their other fish, and yes their are exceptions to any rule, but that is usually from someone that has a young Jardini, and has never kept one before. The Jardini arowana is by FAR, the most agressive fish I have ever owned. Once they reach adult size they usually become satan incarnate.

  • @chefrific Mines a young one

  • oh damn that's a big boy there haha love it

  • heck yeah! thats a fish!!!

  • i love that song!!!!

  • wow what a beautiful fish

  • I am about to go get two peacock bass. I have 2 lmb 2 smallmouth bass and soon 2 peacock bass. I have looked at the Pbass and they are around the same size as my other bass (3-5 inches), so I think they should be fine. I have a 448 gallon aquarium for the fish, going to make an 1800gallon possibly 2500 gallon this comming summer. I am just trying to train them on pellets and I am having problems with that.

  • @pauliswicked

Good for you. I'm proud of you. You are the coolest person on youtube.

  • @pauliswicked I haven't found my bass' neck.

  • @pwnedbyfishies

    Monoculus

  • what fishi is that with the long nose

  • @lastgameralive florida spotted gar

  • Fucking awesome man, I just got three peacocks for my tank.

  • hahahaha holy crap the song makes that fish a bad ass.

  • Its Frday...

  • Wow they are impressive

    Do you still have them?

  • I am getting a 210gal tank today and i have 5 oscars(smallest 3 is 4in rest are 5in+) My oscars fight a lot but one doesnt fight so i think it is female. I was thinking about getting a peacock bass but i dont know if it is compatible? what should i do because i really want one

  • @BgGriffon

In my experience, Oscars should be housed by themselves. Otherwise you are asking for constant problems, ESPECIALLY as they get larger. I would not put a peacock bass with oscars NO WAY!!!!, Oscars are WAY too aggressive to house with a peacock bass. Also, a 4 to 5 inch oscar would eat a young peacock bass with no problem at all. Lots of luck, just my opinion, but I would get a 210 and put one, maybe a breeding pair of peacock bass, that's it. Pbass get HUGE!!!!

  • @chefrific I have a13in oscar and a 19inch pbass in a tank together and the large bass has no problem defending itself. had them together since they were 3in. pbass are way to fast for oscars to catch. they can be tankmates.

  • @yzf450motoxrider

Why put them together if they are chasing each other around. Why stress your fish?

  • @chefrific if you put peacock bass with oscar the oscar will die as they catch preys slower then peacock bass thats what they say in another video

  • Peacock Bass are best bought in threes though. They are much more comfortable that way. And my opinion it depends on the fish but Oscars are not any more aggressive than Peacock Bass. But thats just my opinion! Figured I would put in my two cents! Oh and also that is a beautiful bass you have chefrific :o)

  • @chefrific i have several oscars in a big community tank and they're the laziest most curious fish we have. we have severums that are barely an inch long and their good buddies with the oscars.

  • @BgGriffon lmao

  • @BgGriffon i have 2 ocsars 1 peacock 1 arowana 1 gar 1tiger shovelnose catfish in my tank and out of all the fish the oscars could fuck with they bite the bass (wheb they can catch him) the most and only mess with him....just giving ya heads up

  • @BgGriffon oscars arent very aggressive contrary to what this guy is saying. An oscar will eat something if it can fit it in its mouth however they are not combative. Fish such a red devil or even a jack dempsey are generally far more aggressive than an oscar. At the end of the day all you can do is try it, if anything your bass may end up being the bully. good luck

  • @florida1117

Why even risk putting a 3.99 Oscar with something like a Peacock Bass? Idiot.

  • @chefrific a peacock bass is 6.99 so your reference to the price was stupid to begin with and secondly you use the word ''risk''? Its an oscar, not a great white shark.

  • @florida1117

First, even at 6.99, that is still twice the price of an oscar you moron, second... I've looked at your uploads, and all you have is a gay 80's song and a snakehead killing a 10 inch bass. Now, who is the more responsible enthusiast? You are an idiot. Once again, never underestimate the predictability of stupid people. Go listen to come on irene some more and sit in the corner sucking your thumb while you admire your 3.99 oscars and 6.99 peacock bass.

  • NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what size tank

  • how'd ya get it

  • looks more like a ocell

  • Wow he's beautiful

  • do u cook the hotdogs first??

  • Yes, and put mustard and onions. She doesn't like chili on her hotdogs that much. Are you kidding me? Raw of course.

  • @chefrific lol!

  • @chefrific Lol XD

  • @chefrific

do u put the pellets in a bun first?

  • @KTMracer4687 if u warm them up it tends to work beter

  • LETS FRy HiM UP!!! lol

  • wtf were u feeding him in the first year? i have one about 3 4 months old and i cant seem to get him to get that huge growth spert..,

  • Massive mix of live brine shrimp, bloodworms, beefheart, live fish, tilapia fillet, shrimp..... Variety is key. Also, genetics plays into it a lot. Species of peacock bass also comes into how fast they grow.

  • Very nice combo!

    Love your Gar too.

  • how big is he?

  • in this video she is around 12 inches. She is now around 19inches. Living in a temporary home in a friends 300 gallon until my 220 is back up.

  • wow i was gonna get one but good thing i didnt i cant get a tank that big. and btw the song makes ur bass seem beast at least in my opinion lol

  • Do have any idea were in maryland they sell peacock bass fish cause i want one

  • mail order. I got mine from aquascape.

  • what is the name of this song

  • Keep Their Heads Ringin' - Dr. Dre

  • thx

  • thats crazy

  • dr. dres finest

  • oh ok thanks

  • How Do I Get Mine To Eat Hotdogs?? I Put Them In And They Wont Even Touch Them...

  • Really not a good idea. I give mine a piece or two as a "treat" once in a while. Usually when they start eating non-live foods (pellets, fish fillets, etc) Mine did not start (hardcore) until around 7-8inches. Try small pieces of tilapia fillets.

  • Dude!! Ur peacock is awesome!!!

did u get him online or at a pet store???..

  • Thanks for the response, last question, what species is he........

  • see info on video..... Cichla monoculus

  • Bloodworms and/or live brine shrimp should get him going.

  • How big did he grow in a year, and what size tank has he been in........

  • Awesome specimen. I would like to reel him in! Check my vids out of me catching Peacock bass.
