I saw here perform this on TV back in the late 80’s, and her version has always been my favorite. Not crazy about the background vocals. But, so psyched I finally found it!! I could NOT remember her last name. Just Tracy and 13 years old!! It’s been a long search!!!

Well, you know she released this song twice because she doesn't sing this song this way on her video. She toned it down quite a bit for the cassette version. Video version sounded better... but I still love the Tracie Spencer version either way.

Wonderful song. I remember being 15 or so, and being inlove with this song, and her amazing rendition. John Lennon would be proud. It was a song that gave me hope, when, as a teen, no mentor gave me this type of inspiration. Not to mention I was soooo inlove with Tracy.

@PopCulture20 he even told me that my conviction was"bullshit" those are his words, i got in trouble for bullshiting with my friend and their parent saw it and called the cops, im not to blame, and i didn't get in trouble with him, he was assigned to me, he only gave me 1 month of probation and 2 hours community service which is the minimum so i don't hate him, he did his job in my favor
