I think what this video clearly shows is that, beyond any opinion on the Tibet matter, and I will keep mine for myself, this is propaganda. I will not discuss the matter of propaganda - good or bad, legal or not, official or not, it is not my point here - but clearly the commentaries ("brave", "All Chinese", "proud", "angel") are not objective, and the choice of images in the video is far from reflecting reality : there were much more protesters in Paris and London than Chinese, for instance.

Let's be clear : I'm French and I'm not against China and Chinese people. I do admire & like them for a lot of reasons. I'm glad that the Olympic Games take place in Beijing. I think that the USA are more condemnable for what they do all around the world.
I just want the Chinese government to leave Tibetan people and monks alone, or at least respect their way of life, to respect the freedom of thought, speech and movement of Chinese people. That's all !

Among others, we Chinese want the continuing improvement of our human rights, but we also understand that being proud of China does not conflict with that.
This is not a propaganda! Given all the sad history of colonialism and the continuing reality of neocolonialism by the Western nations, we want to be proud of China, a country which is under irrational hostility for so long.

Again, I'm not against China and Chinese people. I recognize I've never been to China but I will soon, because it's a country I really want to visit. But I've read many writings & seen videos from many points of views & some of them are more than reliable given their history.

No use discussing this over, there's a deep misunderstanding because of the culture gap. I'm the 1st to admit that in every country a lot of things are wrong & I think the USA are the worst of all. You won't understand why i'm pleading for more democracy in China because you're convinced China is a great democracy. Check the definition in a dictionary and see if it fits with your country : journalists controlled or imprisoned, students killed & imprisoned, death penalty & so many other abuses...

Kawaii, peaceful olympic games is what the world requests. No more killings in tibet, no more arresting people, han or xizangren, for their thouhgts, no more corrupt politicians protecting their jobs and money by killing people in tian an men. The chinese are a wise people and they deserve a politic tool that will make them blossom. I think it's zhuangzi who said that politic repression is worse than the mountain tiger a few centuries ago.

Olympics is my ass. Everybody knows it is a giant commercial show case for the last several decades. Meanwhile china is an invader nation. No matter what this video shows china will always be remembered as an invader nation. Plus I saw once a tank was rolling over a young chinese student (you guessed it right) in Tienanmen square. God knows what the same dog lovers did to the Tibetans.
