1. Taiwan is not attach to China in any form nor geography.

2. They have their own currency NTD (NEW TAIWAN DOLLARS)

3. They have their own army forces

4. They have their own government.

5. They might have ancestor from China, but since they're descendants of Taiwanese again and again, then there's Taiwanese people...Still Chinese/Asian, but Taiwanese.

To me, it seems like it's a country of it own, China just wants it now, since it's one of the economy powerhouses now. :)
