I actually study with david as well at Tech (and I have a good guess as to who aerosmithfan is...) and would recommend that you try to keep the slides to a minimum, as well as use your right hand thumb to deaden the ringing bass notes when you switch to a new one (which is hard at first but you will get used to it!)
I study with the composer of this piece at Texas Tech and I think you should show it down some. it will make it that much more of a beautiful piece. Play around with doing different sound like dolce and ponticello at different parts of the song, see you find anything you like.
The only thing better about KayKhang's performance it that hes getting a better sound than you, but thats easily fixed by tilting your right hand some and playing more on the side of the nail then straight on.
other the that I think you did a pretty good job.
Thanks for the comment, I'll work on improving it...and while I'm at it go ahead and post a video of yourself playing it to back up your words with proof...
Such nice music, well done. Do you perhaps have the tab for this, or the location of it? I would love to learn it myself.

David is both a Master and a genius. Maestro in the highest sense. I studied with him for years in Lubbock TX.

Thank you!
