Great aircraft. I flew my first flight in a DA-40 with a G1000 glass cockpit. I climbed to 8000ft but had to level off at 4000 to let the engine cool a little before continuing my climb. Cheers for posting!
@appleglory it was a bright summer's day with a few clouds. Nothing special really. I was quite lucky actually - I was aware that we were flying VFR but luckily for me my instructor was instrument rated and allowed me to continue up to 8000ft via a "hole" in the clouds.
