Thanks for sharing this, would you believe I live overlooking St Pancras International I can hear the beasts the second they exit the tunnel over the east coast line and power up to climb the gradient into the station. I can hear the roar until they shut down at the stops. I wake up at 04 35 am each morning when the 1st ecs works in.-, Great alarm clock! miss the Peaks and the47 top and tails at end of old St Pancras -still hear MTU class 43s nailing the gradient to Kentish Town. Nice clip 5*

Theyre actually the VP185 HSTs - theyre almost like Valentas, MTUs make barely any scream noise. Youre very lucky actually to have VP185 engined HST Power Cars.

I agree super machines - still miss not seeing and hearing them on the ECML when GNER hired in some shortened sets. Good shot, shame that set had points to negotiate otherwise driver could really have given it the beans!
