  • 1:07 oh, how cute!

  • I love the picture at 1:11.

  • Did anyone see her dot anywhere.?? O.o i saw it in only ONE PIC ... It's not called marilyn monroe piercing for it to be false :o

  • @angileeca Saw it on 3 pics. Since birthmarks are naturally light brown, when you put foundation on, they can become invisible. In her later career she probably drew a darker dot over it to accentuate it as her trademark.

  • @ohcmeon Thus came the marilyn monroe trademark d(^_^)b haha Thanks xD

  • Very beautiful video! Thank you!

  • She had a nose job plus a chin implant

  • @yumro9 + all the teeth .....

  • They didn't have photoshop, but they did have soft lighting and filtering. :)

It hides the paint-like effect of the makeup; if you saw them in person, (or even with HD tv?) it would be like looking at clown/theatre makeup (kinda spooky up close).

But regardless how much makeup they've spackled on, they're beautiful ladies!

  • @margarbeast I highly doubt that it'll look like that in real life. The 50s don't mean that there wasn't cosmetic knowledge yet. She had one of the most amazing makeup artist Allan "Whitey" Snyder who was known for his natural idea of makeup and for literally transforming Marilyn's face. They even had surgery during the 50s and Marilyn herself had a rhinoplasty. So I doubt that it'll look awful. Can't be worst than today's makeup caking. Though, of course they were beautiful women.

  • Make up has improved over the years ( ingredients HD more natural bla bla bla) How come women then looked soo much more beautiful in pictures than they do now?? even with photo shop. They did not have photoshop back in the days but still they look so much better!!!!

  • @TheBoots72

Lol, you might have to compare them to someone other than MM!

Also, a more natural, fuss free look is encouraged now, not as pancake-battery, hair roller, and corsetry as in the 50s. An average dude going through that regiment would look like a feminine babe, too!

  • @margarbeast Ha ha maybe so!! But i also think that Sophia Loren, Jane mansfield ,Brigitte Bardot etc. looked very beautiful, but yes they were probably wearing loads of makeup .

  • She never had plastic surgary

  • @genesiaXsinger She did in fact have some work done, nothing too drastic.

  • her eye's where such a dark hazel they almost looked brown, only in very light pics can you see her beautiful blue-green-grey eyes!!!!!! I loved her ,she is who was raped, molested, ignored sent to foster care homes and all she loved was the attention hence that is why people are f****d - up!

  • all my favs..she did not need any plastic surgery!!!why must hollywood be so cut throat!!! they bash people for not being perfect!!!!!when I seen the bio on her they said she had a potatoe nose (that's petty and crude)..r.i.p norma jean baker,a.ka marilyn monroe..

  • I love this picture at 1:27.

  • Wonderful.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • i think she was even beautiful before the plastic surgery

  • i think she was even beautiful before the plastic surgery

  • Gorgeous picture at 0:54

  • She is what I call an AMERICAN GIRL!

  • But that's Hollywood for you-they dust you off use you up and then spit you out! I wonder who came up with the name "Marilyn Monroe"?To go from Norma Jeane Mortenson, too "Hello, my name is Marilyn Mon-roe, Darling! Its kind of like Lisa Vanderpump! Very hot!

  • It's truly alegend in the beauty and temptation and I also discovered through watching the images is small ,she loves temptation from an early age

  • @1:20 nice !!

  • she was pretty as a young girl so i consider her a natural beauty. imagine her curls on jennifer aniston. even with all that surgery, she looks hideous. strange face shape, big chin, big nose, not pretty!!

  • @mamadoenut HEY DID U KNOW THAT MARILYN MONROE HAS A NOSE JOB AND A CHIN JOB ALSO WAS A BRUNNETTE THAT DYED HER HAIR BLONDE. SHE EVEN CHANGED HER NAME FROM NORMA JEAN TO MARILYN MONROE LOL. YEA SHES NATURAL ALL RIGHT LMAO

  • They have found records to prove that Monroe had rhinoplastery - yes it was available back then. People don't like to accept this because they think it takes away from her natural beauty but I beg to differ. Her contemporaries will testify that she had to bcome Marilyn Monroe (she was born Norma Jean after all) but she was still a real beauty.

  • Linda ...absolutamente....linda....

  • No apparently she got some work on her nose and her chin. But she's just gorgeous no matter what. I love that pic there with her eyebrows pointed. None of the other pics have her eyebrows like that. I wonder if she plucked or waxed the actual browline out and re drew them. If you compare them to the others, the arch of the brow is very different :)

  • If you pause at 0:28 you can clearly see that's the SAME nose she has in much later pictures. She got older and lost a bit of weight in her face. Also, great makeup and the blonde hair color did wonders. She was beautiful back before her makeover but she is absolute PERFECTION afterwards.

  • that nose just didn't look the same after 1:30. i'm not sure makeup can work that kind of miracles.

  • Really?...grave site at the end? Whomp whomp.

  • Yes, she maybe did a plastic surgery... But million do plastic surgery but don't have her glamour and way of be sexy. See celebrities nowadays thay do, but they can't be Marilyn Monroe, some of them try... Marilyn Monroe is not just beauty is a way of be

  • so she wasn't a natural beauty, but she didn't get extensive work done like the untalented celebrities today. She still looked better than all of them

  • so cute song and voice

  • Her skin hangs on her bone structure, thats the whole skull. Cant change that too much, not now let alone back then. I think she had dental work, but that was standard at the time, her teeth were good anyway. Her nose at the tip...maybe. The chin.....no.

  • i dont think at that time nose job exist she was all natural

  • @alex2009ll If you actually were a true fan you would know that Johnny Hyde, the Vice-president of the William Morris Agency's West Coast office during the 1930s and 1940s, Took Marlyn on as a client in 1948. He had her undergo minor plastic surgery (nose, chin, teeth, hairline). He used his influence to help her land the roles of Angela in The Asphalt Jungle and Miss Caswell in All About Eve. It's really not a big deal, or shameful. It was standard practice is all. :)

  • la mas bella de todas ....

  • The candle in the wind

  • The only thing she had done was her nose, which practically everyone in Hollywood today has had done.

  • she was pretty, we all have our opinions, but don't get to far dear friends... she was still beautiful, with or without make-up.

  • she only had a nose job and all of her face is naturally pretty anyway!

  • I think she looked much better before hollywood got to her. She was wholesome and beautiful. After plastic surgery and the bleach job she looked phony and hard.

  • 1:32 just show how beautiful she still is even without make up ; she still looks way better than all the actresses without wake up nowadays.

  • To see stars without make-up back then, and see them now... makes me think our standards have dropped.

Only things I have heard of are nose job and chin implant. Not certain whether she ACTUALLY had them or not. Rest I believe is rumor, though everyone has an opinion.

Either way, I don't care. I love her for her acting, and her inner self. That's what really counts. Thinking she can look fantastic all the time is like saying she wasn't human.

But she put up one hell of a fight, perfectionist.

  • @LigerZeroPanzar Who don't love her? She is the best and unique, mainly because if her charisma, but nit because of beauty. There are a lot of pretty girls, but woman like Monroe, Sophie Loren, E. Taylor, M. Belucci are one in a billion

  • bellissima cm smp......tu il mio uniko e grandissimo idoloooooooooooo

  • a True Goddess, Nothing compares...

  • Such a beautiful lady, womanly curves and a gorgeous smile. That's her singing in this video too. She released some albums of songs in her day and had a good voice. Her early years were tragic and painful, and I don't think she ever found the peace and happiness she was looking for

  • boo boop ee doo.

  • She had Asperger syndrome....Autism.

  • 2:35 is just precious like beautiful meanings

  • she never took a bad picture! even reading a book,or hugging a tree! the camera just adores her!

  • @MegaEvalee Or riding on an elephant :)

  • SHe banged!!!

  • She looked more natural and beautiful as a brunette

  • Marilyn only had the bump on her nose reduced and her chin done to give it more definition. Those who bash her should know it was never her idea--like most of the Marilyn persona, it was a creation of many minds, not of one. She contributed to creating Marilyn Monroe, but a lot of people, good and bad, molded her along the way.

  • @darkseaofempathy and banged her ,allegedly .

  • @yougotmysnout Yes, also true. She was sort of an unwitting prostitute, if you will. It wasn't that she necessarily wanted to be a slut, but when you're an orphan with no one to lean on, you learn how to use whatever you've got to get where you got to go. For Marilyn, it was her body, which is a shame.

  • @MsBrooke9999

I agree - absolutely! If she only knew......

  • I think the nose job left a permanant line across her nose cause in all her movies the close have this line that makeup can barley cover. She didnt have to change her nose at all.people compare her to elizabeth taylor.Elizabeth taylor was a different kind of beauty she looked like a painting and marylin was the ultamate baby woman not in her moves just ther way god made her face, she had a beautiful baby face she had the forever young,Sexiest thing yet approachable.MGM FUCKED HER life UP EVEN MORE

  • who the hell cares if she had plastic surgery or not.

it isn't anyone's business anyhow and she's still beautiful.

  • 1:32 I think she looks like teenage Jodie Foster without make-up.

  • to me, this woman completely shows the power of makeup and some hair dye xD and some brilliant natural assets of course :)

  • Love the song but it still reminds me of watching Gilligan's Island reruns with Ginger Grant singing it. Oh, and Maryann LOL.

  • Ela, juntamente com Ava Gardner e Liz Taylor foram as mulheres mais lindas do cinema...e nos dias atuais não tem ngm semelhante a estas três!....

  • Nowadays is very difficult to find women as beautiful as she was.

  • sublime . Merci pour ce beau partage .

  • Who was Marilons father?

  • @Hans021220 She didn't even know. She was told he died in a car accident before she was born, but also a guy her mom worked for got her pregnant and refused to have anything to do with her so the car accident story may have been a lie.

Or eh Clark Gable! Yeah that's it!

  • she didnt need plastic surgery she was very pretty without it

  • Marilyn had cartilage removed from her nose, crescent shape silicone inserted into her lower left jawline, and electrolysis to heighten her hair...YES I AM THE ULTIMATE FAN!

  • she kinda looked like judy garland

  • she was even more beautiful without makeup

  • 1:32 This is what an excellent make-up artist can do for you.. I can't see in the whole vid a single proof of that plastic surgery....

  • @procioneintubato Good, because good surgery isn't supposed to be seen.

  • @procioneintubato well the nose job its obvious... i think she had an eyebrow lift too and boob job... the rest was just hair dye... contacts... and like you said excellent make-up artist... my opinion is that surgical procedures where necessary ... shes a complete beauty and i love her<3 shes my idol..

  • @procioneintubato nowadays, excellent make-up artist are everywhere, that's why when you see someone really famous with 40, you think they're 20... lol.

  • @procioneintubato .....She was actually an expert make-up artist herself.

  • @procioneintubato She had a tiny bit of cartilage removed from her nose and an overbite softened.

  • @SarahLee1 No that is make-up, I also do that sometimes with make-up. You can find it on youtube how to do it.. Natural Nose Job Celebrity Makeup Secret / Reshaping the Nose by Makeup Artist Eve Pearl search for that and you find the video.

  • @MelissaDeVriesMJ No it is official knowledge, it's been testified for.

  • @procioneintubato I think there was no plastic surgery back in time.

The modern history of plastic surgery really started to take shape in the 1960s and the 1970s.

    plasticsurgery.about.com/od/historyofplasticsurgery/a/history_of_PS_2.htm

  • She didn't only have looks. She was simply sweet.

  • marilyn is so beautiful

  • God Bless You, MM

  • She was of danish origin. There are many pretty girls in scandinavia!

  • she was beautiful as NJ and as MM...

  • She did have a couple of minor surgeries done. Her nose was made smaller, her chin reduced, and her hair line was pushed back, this is all facts. Its in every marilyn monroe biography its just a part of her history. These procedures were all requested by the head FOX at the time or he wasn't going to sign her.

  • the make-up and the time change a lot

  • Comment removed

  • @msrattlespaces do you have problems?=D

  • @nousaghichan yeah its called people that screw up normal peoples life's when you work for the govt... sad isnt it guess she had a reason to be killed... wonder what that could have been waaaay back when people actually had morals!

  • @kyasst yeah of course people change drastically throughout life, but not as drastically when they're ALREADY in their adulthood, which is what i'm pointing out.. And she didnt lose/gain much weight as Norma/ Marilyn so its a pretty rough possibility for facial features to change as much as they did.

  • Are you sure she didnt have plastic surgery? Her nose looks much wider as Norma Jeane, and so does her chin. Not to be picking out 'defects' or anything which is really mean of me lol.

  • Wow that pic @ 1:41 is the most amzing pic of her

  • @SIRA4LIFE No, her hair was originally reddish brown.

  • quien rompio el corazon de norma?... :(

  • She looks a bit like Angelina Jolie sometimes.

  • yes it is obvious marilyn had her nose done just before 1950s. if you look at her older pictures her nose is wider and longer. after the alteration is smaller at the tip and not as wide at the trunk... of course lots of make up tricks made her marilyn monroe...i think everything else was real. except i hear her teeth were also worked on.. but she had a wonderful body.. and gorgeous blue eyes

  • @caradecaballo Noses change as you get older. You grow into your features. your features grow first, which is why babioes always have huge eyes. You cannot judge what someone will actually look like until they are at least 20 years old.

I'm not saying she didn't have anything done, and I'm not saying she did. I'm say anything is possible, but no-one hear knows dip-crap about what she did except for her and a few others.

  • chin inplant? look at her oldday photos she did have chin !

  • You were and will be forever the most beautiful, shame not to have had the pleasure to meet you live

  • @trenoregionale0 aww thank you! yea i doubt we will ever meet...

  • Great Video... It's great to see Marilyn again.. She lives on in our memories!

  • i've always thought britney spears looks quite a bit like marilyn.

  • @ohdoshutit I don't think they look alike at all. I think Jennie Garth looks a lot like her

  • most beautiful smile ever.

  • 1:42 is one of her most interesting pictures-being in jeans, lifting dumbells.

  • She reminded me of cassie from skins when she wasn't famous

  • lolz morbid ending FTW

  • 1:37 is my fave picture..

but I can't find it anywhere.. does somebody have it? or found it?

  • I heard Marilyn was forced by her production company to make a chinsurgery and a nosejob. I don't know what's true, but if it is, they did an amazing job! You know there's something different in her newer pictures, but you can't point it out.

With or without surgery, with or without makeup, blonde or not (even though blonde gave her that certain SOMETHING)... Marilyn is my one true icon!

  • the most fascinating smile i've ever seen..R.I.P my angel !

  • she looked so different when she was younger, truly all women do become butterflies one day.

  • @nataliaaw she had plastic surgery silly. Her chin, teeth, cheeks, nose and a brow lift. This is well documented info and Johnny Hyde paid for it to get done, all actresses had it done back in the day. It's not a big deal.

  • @PrettyTigerlilly Yes butchering yourself to please others is never a big deal, then or now...what a dumbass you are....

  • @twilliger123 I meant it is not a big deal in the sense that she was not alone in having had surgery for that time period in Hollywood, it was standard practice... Thanks for calling me names though, shows you are a very eloquent and learned person!

  • @PrettyTigerlilly Anytime....and I still think you're a dumbass, eloquent and learned as you are..WTFever...

  • @twilliger123 I saw your page Mr.Soul train. Now i understand you can't help but be rude and obnoxious as it is in your nature.

  • @PrettyTigerlilly Favoriting Soutrain episodes makes me rude and obnoxious? How narrow minded of you, and it more than enough proves you are a dumbass!

  • @twilliger123 LOL! Went over your head that one did. Silly <3

  • @PrettyTigerlilly Yes you are right. Many stars had plastic surgery. Nose jobs were very common with male stars and it isn't a secret. I kinda think people that don't have the money to do it themselves are the ones that gripe the most. If I had the cash, NOBODY would recognize me! LOL!

  • @ElderPinkerton I know right. It's not like it was unusual at all. It was just hidden very well as averse to today where stars are photographed at the Surgeons office. Note that in my original comment i did not say it was a good idea to have surgery, i merely said it was common and seen as "not a big deal, its just common practice" by stars and movie producers.

  • @nataliaaw No she had plastic surgery....well known fact

  • @Xxaprilb223xX ; your opinion.

  • @nataliaaw

    No, not all ;-)

  • @nataliaaw I think she was beautiful when she was younger too!

  • @su79er Marilyn was always gorgeous but I wonder if she'd grown old if she would have kept getting more plastic surgery to fight it and ended up messing up her face. She had some intense insecurities.

I wish she'd straightened things out and grown to be a wise-ass old lady like her buddy Shelley Winters.

  • she had a rhinoplastic surgery

  • @nataliaaw sure, with a nose job, eyelid job, breast implant...etc M Monroe is known for having a lot of plastic surgery, she was not natural, anyway she is a beautiful icon, but she was sad, her life was very sad and I don't think she's an example to follow

  • @encorenvi breast implants my friend? its called a bra, she was naturally curvy and coincidentally faces change as you age... oh yes, and its called eyeliner, eyelid surgery? And yes her life was sad, but surgery is the last thing she was known for.

  • @nataliaaw I know that it is very "taboo" to speak about it because Marilyn is a myth and the fans wants to keep a perfect image of her but we just have to look pics of her as young person, the nose cannot become small naturally and she had no big eyelids, just folds, eyelids cannot become big and tense without any folds by aging (eyeliner or not), on the contrary! dont need to be a surgeron to see that..

  • Total transformation but still gorgeous!!!

  • Oh, God...now I;m reading here that MM had ribs removed! "like Raquel Welch did." People, you CAN'T remove ribs. Do you realize the kind of scar that would leave, not to mention the danger to your internal organs? The tip of her nose, the tip of her chin (and that chin implant disolved) That's it. Ever see pics of the young Dietrich or Garbo--almost unrecognizable from their later more famous images. Ever see the young Halle Berry? And everybody wore heavy makeup--Liz Taylor, hello!!!

  • 2:41

    so beautiful.♥

  • Fair enough. I'm sorry if I seemed harsh or critical. I can understand the thing about YouTube. Compared to other sites, I find there is a disproportionately large number of people here who are haters with nothing positive to say. So I tend to go on the defensive when I encounter negativity. Anyway, peace and good wishes to you.

  • She had a minor nosejob, so what? She wasn't a cosmetic surgery freak, like Joan Rivers or Michael Jackson. MM's inner beauty enhanced the outward appearance. Your little remark makes you sound catty. Why do you bother making comments on a Marilyn video since you have nothing kind to say about her anyway? Nothing "classy" about backhanded compliments either. In fact, you're better off going to a tribute video for one of your unnamed idols, instead of mocking other people's tastes.

  • @LoveAnna13

Are you kidding? ALL the female stars of that period (the 1950's) wore heavy makeup. Thick, pancake-type foundation was used, as well as bright red lipstick, liquid eyeliner, and false eyelashes. Quit singling out Marilyn because she was far from the only one with "warpaint". Marilyn looked good without makeup, too. Besides, makeup on an ugly face makes that face look somewhat better, not beautiful. A woman with symmetry and good bone structure is beautiful with or without makeup.

  • she still for everytime beautiful

  • she is so beautiful ... with that aspect helpless .... do not know how they might kill you ... because I do not believe in the history of an overdose of pills ... because to have gone all the files on her death is that someone did not want to be discovered ..... she is really perfect and unique .... MM 4ever <'3 excuse my English, but because I am Portuguese: D

  • I have no words for the photo at 1:36. Incredibly beautiful

  • she was PRECIOUS, simply beautiful

  • at 2:31 she looks very much like Angelina Jolie

  • He had her nose and her chin done to the best of the dr's ability in the 1950's, look it up!

  • She did have minor plastic surgery on her nose and chin. Many of her biographies mention it. I love MM, but I'm not in denial that she had cosmetic enhancements.

Her breasts were all natural, as well as her blue eyes. Her eyes look dark in some color photos because of the low light conditions in which they were photographed. She did not have brown eyes.

  • She had blonde hair as a child, which darkened to auburn (red-brown) when she was older. She was advised to bleach her hair when she was a model. At first she resisted, but later gave in and became artificially blonde because it did get her more modeling work.

Overall, she was pretty and fresh-faced as Norma Jeane. After minor surgery, teeth straightening, and artfully applied makeup and hairstyling, she became the beautiful and glamorous Marilyn we've known and loved for more than 50 years.

  • 1:27 is the MOST BEAUTIFUL picture of her I've ever seen!

  • LoveAnna13 ur a effing hater! just admit tht she was beautiful geez! and take it from someone who knows, marilyn is my rolemodel. she NEVER I REPEAT NEVER HAD PLASTIC SUGERY (or for those who are hard of believing NO BEAUTY ENHANCING things done to her body) she did tho used makeup tricks to make her nose appear more centered and smaller. the signature red lipstick to make her lips appear fuller, eyelashes, etc. but girls, we all shud kno, infact we all do! so haters go hate on megan fox or sumn

  • Marilyn had a few surgeries as actors in Hollywood did in those days, add to the cheeks and chin to bring them out, adjust noese and possibly also, she had a rib removed as it was also said Raquel Welch removed. But her youthful pictures show her amazing beauty both in and out! Beautiful photos!

  • In my opinion, Marilyn was at her most beautiful when she was blonde, but not yet platinum, and her hair still had its natural curls. By the time she was famous, she was so over-done!
