  • I can't believe Muse were a support band in 2009..... wtff

  • U2 ARE SHITE COMPARED TO MUSE

  • he barely ever uses the ali top manson anymore, i love it because its trem has that litttle extra sustain because its weighted more, but hey barely anyone knows what i'm talking about :')

  • @MattsPwoperFish i know ;) the ibanez edge pro (or 3??) which he uses has more weight in it because normal floyds have crappy sustain... >:D

  • @bassalegcrew YUH! i'm saving up for one to put in my ibanez. :D

  • Hi, I am trying to gather as many muse fans as i can who understand the messages in which they are telling us through there songs.

We can't stop them alone. Join me, Add me as a friend, Subscribe to my channel if i get enough people i will make videos, create a website for discussions and more.

Thumbs up so we can get as many people as possible thank you

  • I just noticed there is only like one person in the whole crowd that is cheering

  • I can see how Matt would scare people, but that doesn't matter. Those peeps in the crowd are just weirdos who have never heard of Muse. What is wrong with those people?

  • This has to be the only video on YouTube where the crowd doesn't do the point or whatever it is with their arms... seriously every crowd in the world knows that's the tradition... it's like the 1-2-1-3 clap in Starlight. Obviously shows they're U2 fans, not Muse fans. Their loss.

  • does anyone know where i can buy that shirt Matt is wearing?

  • U2 should be opening for Muse

  • The reason the crowd is so dry is because....

    - American audiences are generally less energetic (probably the whole obesity thing)

    - The average age of a U2 fan is probably double a muse fans

    - Muse aren't completely huge in the USA like they are everywhere else

  • @mcollett182 to a 60 year old fan...U2 are rock gods......To the years of anyone below that its simply not

  • WTF? you can sit at concerts in the USA ?

    dude, that is just weird

  • @dirtpezz no, we stand and jump and all of that good stuff over here, too. this looks so lame because they were opening for U2, and I'm guessing most people in attendance had probably never heard of them

  • @dirtpezz They can't stand up for too long

  • @TheAqui1a

    haha, because of mcdonals right....

  • Let me get this straight: MUSE are opening FOR U2?!

There has to be some mistake - U2 should be opening for MUSE!

If MUSE = HEAVEN, MATT BELLAMY = GOD

  • Oh wait, Matt seems very happy to show his middle finger in front of audience

  • TO: EURO -- it's the sip test. people who haven't heard them before don't "get it" until they've heard it multiple times. to americans it sounds "weird" at first cuz we haven't heard anything like it before. i beg u to give us a chance. there are ready fans in the US who just haven't heard yet. it's a complex country and it's hard to penetrate and we have a massive culture war going on as it is. there are pockets of peepz with really good taste waiting to understand the immenseness of this band

  • siempre los americanos intentando diferenciarse de los britanicos

  • To be honest.. its weird seeing an American audience being so subdued.. as a whole I see Americans as louder and more 'enthusiastic' than us (I'm English) and I went to a Muse stadium gig last night and the crowd was going mental jumping up and down and crushing eachother. Then again.. I guess we weren't very enthusiastic with some of the support acts and I guess thats what Muse are seen as in America.

  • Matt is god.

  • I never thought Muse would sink so low to be a warm up act for U2 (!!!)... It should have been the opposite...

  • @Kihlberg90 they're doing it again in March. how does that make you feel?

    #@!

  • @SpammerOvTheGods Disgraced, to say the least...

  • what the fuck is wrong with the audience?

or is this just how concerts work in america?

  • The people of the concert where stupid or what the fucking is this!!!!!

This song is KNIGHTS OF CYDONIA and the crownd appears to be death. T_T

  • u2 should open their concert....

  • I wish i had the money for a plane ticket for the EU tours they do....maybe in the next two years when i have money i will....MUSE ROCKS BTW>

  • idk why he would play t the stadium for an opening.....everyone who didn;t know muse that night can piss the F off..

  • Wish they had played this one with the U2 opening date in Houston. Oh well, saw it a few months later in Houston and will see it again in October in New Orleans :D

  • WTF IS WRONG WITH THE AUDIENCE?!?!?!

    f*ck of with U2xD

not that there bad... but u just can't compare em with muse.

few days ago i went to muse, and it was awesome!

best setlist ever!!! BLISS AND CITIZEN ERASED!!!

and the crowd was epic to:)

  • Not that Muse is a better band than U2... U2 has a longer and better career and always will... but right now Muse is far superior. U2 should be opening for them, because compared to Muse, right now U2 just seems like 4 burned out middle-age losers.

  • @herrkase lol don't make me laugh..I'm a massive fan of both bands, but never will U2 support another band, except maybe The Rolling Stones for their last ever gig...it has nothing to do with age or comparative success right now, but it's the legacy, reputation and respect they have built up over the years...you might as well say REM, Bon Jovi, possibly Radiohead should now support Muse, Coldplay or Kasabian because they are the bands popular now...exactly, it won't happen, next topic...

  • MUSE > U2 =)

  • @SirFrank23 \m/

  • Matt's just staring at the crowd like "WTF people?"

  • gran interpretacion de bellamy

  • that is AMAZING quality. kudos to you my friend, kudos. I would have left once Muse left. Fuck U2!!!

  • seems like most of the u2 fans do not know many other godly bands, disappointing

  • Where is cris at? The bassest?

  • Why couldn't they have played this when they came to Dallas on this tour

  • I was at this show going nuts! everyone was looking at me like i was crazy, then I left after Muse lol I saw them Friday night, the crowd went wild<3

  • This concert was crazy, not that U2 is a bad band but i only went to that concert for muse, they had ppl throwing out their umbrellas and everything aha it was still just as good :P i just saw them in philly last night, muse puts on the best concert out of any other concert ive ever been too, silversun pickups arne't too bad either, they opened up last night

  • matt doesnt want to look at the crowd cuz if he did he will drop his guitar and run !!

  • 1:55 is so vintage!

Kinda surfabilly style... Muse are awesome...

  • don't misunderstand me....j'm 41 ,j saw (more or less 15 u2 gigs the 1st one in 1985)...j love U2 but Muse are the best band now ,the best live band,Matt Bellamy is GENIUS! right now..there's no match!

obviously this summer j'll see both band gigs in Italy!

    ciao cheers Muse rules!

  • man americans suck, and i'm american :( I wish i was there i would go crazy and ppl would look at me weird.... i'd burst to the front and sing my voice dead

Muse is amazing and after watching this i am convinced that Matt is simply God in disguise

  • should head to wembley stadium UK have you seen how crazy it goes there.

  • "i wish i could!!!" to quote muse :) yeah i can only dream....

  • Its cos they are sll stupid fatt americans who cant jump up and down! and half opf them are still buyin hotdogs! feckin stupid crowd! id pay more to see muse than U2! muse shouldv trashed the place for a laugh!!

  • well said, i would've gone crazy there, pay ALOT MORE to see Muse than U2, sont misinterpret, I like U2, but I simply cannot live without Muse <3

  • GOOD!!

  • MUSE ARE THE BEST

    U2 mmmm XD

    MUSE > U2

  • Unfortunatly U2 has lots of fans when comparing to Muse, but that doesn't mean they're better. If this was in Portugal we'd all leave after Muse opening :D

    MUSE > U2.

    Anytime, anywhere.

  • Dude..how can you not headbang to this? Crowd sucks...I'm surprised Matt didn't swear and tell them all off. Glad they did an older song! :)

  • @sk8rwhezel knights of cydonia is not an older song... its off their 4th studio album, they only have 5

  • I know, but its older than their newest album. And its is "The Resistance Tour".

  • look,3.40 there"s one person clapping!!!! what a dead f**king crowd.matt is a man of few words,but i bet he"s thinking , "what"s the problem with this crowd ??"

  • ya you're right. Out of the tens of thousands of people in the stadium he was the only person clapping. right.

  • What is it with the crowd? If this was in Britain they would be going mental, not just standing there :/

  • @desniff becuase brits (and irish) know good music ;-)

  • Their going to beat them by beating them mate, don't you worry

  • The music industry sucks these days, we need bands like Muse to inspire us. They've always been consistent for giving us what's been missing in the music industry. It's hard not to fall in love with Muse! U2 were a great band in the early days, let Muse enjoy their time like U2 have.

  • don't get me wrong I really love U2, been to two concerts this year and they are amazing, but I have to admit when it comes to singing Matt definitely has the better voice, sure U2 is more experienced and to gain all the things you posted they had their 30 years and so will Muse.

But seeing the two bands on the same night would have made my year!

  • i also like Muse, but when half wits start saying that Muse is better thats just their opinion, which they r entitled to, but its doesnt make it right, put a 10yr U2 out there against todays Muse, U2 had the Joshua Tree, Muse have some very good hits too, so its fairly even after 10 yrs of both bands. BUT will muse go on for another 20 years selling out WORLD tours in massive stadiums? i hope so. they need to crack the US 1st.

  • sure, when u compare thier voices now matts is better, but go back to late 80's early 90's bono and thers more of a fair fight. how will matt sound when hes pushing 50?

  • Grammys are pointless commercialised awards which hold no value whatsoever - they are just an excuse for the music industry to promote and congratulate itself. All the other things you mentioned? Give Muse time, I don't think they're going anywhere - they love what they do too much to give up now.

  • by being better :) which they are

  • i like U2 right, theyre amazing live but Muse beat them on number 1 albums in 18 diff countries for "the resistance" this year... U2 have never done that with any album, Muse are getting bigger and better with each album , if you're gonna be honest , the only amazing album U2 have made is The Joshua Tree. Muse past 4 albums have been just "WOW" and in my opinion Muse are better live, i just hope that American fans take to them more, cuase they deserve it dont they

  • wait i change that to 24 countries that it got to number 1, even bono had to applaud that on the video over there>>>> "BONO INTRODUCES BAND"

  • @U2FANATIC07 ikr, u2 way more popular than muse, but on stage i prefer muse..arrogant

  • MUSE IS THE BEST AND THEY PROBABLY GOT A GAZZILION MORE FANS FROM THIS!! AND THEY SELL OUT IN THE STATES LIKE U2 buuuuut then again u2 opens 4 no1 they r 2 big lol

  • Great piece of filming,,,,,fantastic.....Shame that most of the crowd didn,t let themselves go,,,,They should watch the footage of muse at wembley 2007 to see how a crowd should react to one of the best bands around.

  • not just wembley :D i mean wembley stadium's crowd was indeed AWESOME, but there are other crowds like V festival 2008 and rock in rio same year those were WILD ;)

  • It must be wonderful to get to know Muse directly on a live concert, :). I would receive a shock because of their mastery!

  • I've seen Muse a few times out here and they did sell out the LA Forum and they were incredible. They are just trying to push Muse to the mainstream and break them here in the States. Opening for U2 is going to give them the exposure they need here. I am sure they will be welcome with open arms.. Thank you UK for sharing them with us

  • You guys need to chill. I'm from the States and I can tell you MUSE don't get nearly enough exposure here. I've followed them forever, but most people I talked to at the show didn't know them before. They were literally shocked into silence at how incredible MUSE was. Opening for U2 was the best thing they could've done. They got 70,000 new fans per show!

  • ............LAME CROWD!!!!

  • I feel bad for Muse having to play in front of the lamest crowd on Earth. No wonder they rarely play in the U.S.

I don't understand why they can't break in the US. They sell out all their shows in Asia, Europe, S America and Asia....

  • You mean Australasia?!

  • and Australia

  • I live in America and Muse has to be ONE OF THE BEST BANDS IN THE WHOLE WORLD!!!!!!!!

  • UNBELIEVABLE view!

  • Can someone give me some advice in how eraly to get there??? I'm thinking as soon as the parking lot opens but idk I have GA field tickets so I wanna be super close up!!!

  • My god, this crowd sucks! KoC usually drive people crazy, but most of Americans don't appreciate Muse. And I'm not that surprised! Origin of Symmetry came out in Amercia just after Absolution.

  • um, im american and i LOVE muse i wish they had opened for U2 to be honest a much better band than U2

  • I actually love that the US is a bunch or morons and can't appreciate real music. I don't want MUSE being played out here. Only that sucks is that I have to travel abroad to see them headline.

  • i will go in turin for their final date's tour!! i don't resist... only two months...

    MUSE RULES

  • i suppose because muse are english ( i am)

the british crowd know more of what happens live so they do chant along

  • The crowd was awful. I got there early to see Muse and I could not believe that the idiot behind me said "excuse me, can you sit down?" I looked at her like she has 3 heads and continued to stand for one of the best bands of my genereration. I have never been to Giants Stadium to see a show, but I was dissappointed in the crowd as a whole.

  • @katiebaby825 great work katiebaby

  • @katiebaby825 that was a U2 crowd, not a Muse crowd. What do you expect?

  • Man ya"ll are right... I'm gonna see them in Dallas next Monday and I'll be wearing my muse shirt and screaming and singin my lungs out!! Freaking awesome band and talent

  • Poor Muse, I hate that they're not being appreciated for the amazing live band that they are. That's what you get when you play to a bunch of pasty, middle-class, middle-aged, white Americans. Ugh.

  • I totally agree. What a great band.

  • This makes me sad :(

This is the reason Muse rarely tours in the USA! There is like no reaction from the crowd :(

And if I was there, I wouldve been FREAKING OUT! haha crawling all over that stage to get to matt. but the people are just... silent. except for a few.

  • 4:38

you put your left leg in you put you left leg out.....

  • 2:52 lol

  • Just saw them last night in DC. Playing Knights of Cydonia for a sitting crowd of 20,000 people - what an embarrassment to Muse. When will the U.S. catch up with the UK?

Tightest live band in the world, they outplayed U2 hands down!

  • I was there i hate how like u2 came on and everybody showed up

  • Poor guys, having to play in front of such a mostly shitty crowd. At least some Musers were there and showed their pride! :)

  • 3:28 - The Best Moment of the Concert!!!!

  • Dude! Definately the best vid I've seen on here of these gigs!!

The two-shot of Matt and Dom at 3'50" has just made my day :D

Who cares what the crowd are doing the guys look like they're enjoying themselves. Matt never opens his eyes anyway! He prolly thinks he's on Mars playing to a load of Space Cowboys ;)

    Brilliant.

  • LOL.... HAHAHAHA playing for space cowboys hahahaha... i wouldn't be shocked if it was true lol

  • at 3:34, bellamy was just 'in the zone'. rocking the crap out of the song!!!

  • I wish I could have been there..Muse and U2, that would be awesome.

Waiting desperatlely for the Muse show in October!

  • people, u have to take in consideration:

    1) muse is a group not very well known in USA

    2) american audience is very different from the european audience

  • @bolvi not at all, its just ppl came to the giants stadium to see, yknow, a giants game, they were pob caught off guard by the complete awesomeness that is muse and didn't know how to take it. But european i admit, are ALOT more charismatic of their bands, like say muse and oasis

  • @bolvi Mèxico is part of america and here in Mèxico the people are true fans.. find some videos in Mèxico and you will understand! :D

  • OMG the crowd sucks!!!! Well the clapped.. -.-

They deserve a much better crowd and light's effects...

    Very good quality btw

  • OMG,Matt was awesooooooooooooooome!!!! Omg,wish I were there that night, what an opportunity to hear this kickass band play live at a major Stadium Omg,thanx for sharing this!!!! ^____^

  • the crowd is sitting... wtf

  • i was the only one screaming for them in my section. people thought i was insane

  • i agree crowd is fuking shitty.

  • Crowd totally sucked, such a shame. They deserve better. Oh well, Muse is amazing.

  • Comment removed

  • Woa amazing quality, thanks for sharing.

The scream at 3:32 gives me goosebumps, like always.

  • watching muse live is sex

  • Damn Mathew Bellamy is gangster.

  • MarilynPepper I agree with you!! I came all the way from Puerto Rico to see MUSE, I was the only guy jumping in the front!! U2 was a bonus

  • FUCKIN' HELL.....!!!!!!
