@toysolja2219 if you catch your wheels, you're in a hellalot worse position than when in a coleman slide. Also, you don't have as much control over the slide, and can't get back to grip when you want to. And a few other reasons. Look on silverfish.

My tip for getting into downhill:

Used leathers : 100$ on ebay

Bell Drop Fullface: 60$

Used leathers = Smelly.

No need leathers for DH until you get hardcore into it anyway.

Full face is nessicary though.

My advice.

If you dont know where to get a aero helmet or custom leathers.

You dont need it. :D

You wanna start out with something nice and stable, i would aim for a landyachtz or a rayne.

check out silverfish longboarding for finding the right board for you.

But my tip would be:

Most bearings work but if your willing to put in an extra buck go for the bones reds. check out daddies board shop

The boards not a fullbag topmount, it's a fullbag elise. Very similar but the elise is the upgrade and isn't yet in production. They look like an awsome board.

Patrick Switzer is bombing on his pro model, the Fullbag Elise. Its a short DH board that can very easily be used in slalom as well. It looks small but the short wheelbase gives him better handling.
