you never really hit the bottom even tho it's like one feet deep underneath like a six foot wave...you'll either nip it or jus feel it right beneath you...but all a bodyboarder has to do is to hold on to your board becase it floats you could go tho all that wite water and still be perfect position on your board

thats a small day.......i was out by myself one day the shorebreak was like 5 foot hawaiian. got sucked towards the rocks and it went from 5 feet to 8 feet in a half hour. almost had to call the lifeguards but then i caught a huge one and went sraight. shoulda called the lifeguards cuz the wave i went straight barrelled over my head and i got totally wasted.

I am a surfer and this DOES NOT LOOK LIKE FUN. You guys must enjoy taking a beating over the head. I would never in my life try and surf or body board something like this. Surfing Waimea is bad enough and coming in through that nasty shorebreak is insane.
