The part where she's mad and she's trying to get up from the floor is hilarious, and so true! I remember how miserable I was those last few days. I was annoyed by everyone and everything, and my inability to move my huge whale of a body around just made everything worse! :)
Why did they have a baby shower NINE days AFTER the baby was due? Hello? Why not have it BEFORE the baby comes, so you've got the stuff you need for the baby all prepared?
I should think the last thing she'd want would be a party when she's sleep-deprived and healing from the birth, etc. But maybe it cheers her up - who knows?

Yeah, I couldn't figure that out either; that made no sense. Nobody schedules a shower right after the expected due date.
