I went to family dollar/dollar store and picked up genuine black and white bleaching cream with hydroquinone! My right cheek looks a disaster! I have black leathery thick bumps, it doesn't seem to be going away any time soon!

Hydroquinone can cause the skin to be permanently thick and leathery. Please do the research about the many dangers of this product. It has been banned in some countries.

I have extremely fair skin. After 3 days of applying Hydroquinone to my face, I looked like I had a dark tan (against my white neck)...It had the opposite effect on me. The blotchy dark spots became darker. My dermatologist said that darkening can occur with deeper skin tones. My skin just reacted very poorly and I had to stop immediately. Now I'm dealing with darker patches. USE WITH CAUTION!

and use nly at night, avoid sunlight as much as possible and a broad spectrum SPF of at least 30 and and UVA filter with at least **** :) , Hydroquinone is the most effective skin lightener available, But use it with caution.
