No one will ever know the outcome...If Vanderlei would have won Brazil's 1st Gold in the Men's Olympic Marathon...From the looks of it, it looks like he was on his way.

One thing for sure, he will go down in history as a class act, super sportsman and example of diginity in the face of adversity. I can clearly see why Brazilians are so proud of him. He sets an example for humanity!
