The term "French rioters" contained in the title is a politically correct misnomer. Many, if not the majority, of the rioters are foreign-born Muslim immigrants. Some of the rioters were born in France but have no attachment to the country. They watch Middle East television, identify with Islamic movements like Hamas or Hizbollah, and openly declare that they hate France and French culture. They belong not to French society but to a parallel society that has its own laws, customs, and values.

Voting is the greatest power peaple can have in thier country, because they can vote peaple in and out of office. So when someone noone likes is put into office it's the peaples fault for either not voting and picking the wrong person or there could be a political scandal or conspiracy going on.

Sarkozy also has many showbiz people on his side, from a famous rapper to singing icon Johnny Halliday to various well-known actors. Sarkozy also is supported by several well-known intellectuals.

Segolene was terribly wrong to say that there would be rioting - but she would know her people best! BTW Prager, those rioters are just as likely to be white Catholics as they are to be black or brown or muslim - I know that'll be difficult to compute but it is a fact.

Just checking some facts: the "artists" were pretty much split between the 2 candidates - some were more vocal than others. The immigrant vote went as a majority to Sarko but not all. Prager - 10 million immigrants is correct, if you count back 3 generations AND include Spanish, Portuguese, Germans and other nationalities as well not just Africans and "Muslims".
