I'll never forget the first time I heard Loreena McKennitt. It was in a antique bookstore years ago, the album was The Visit. I can't say I'm a fan of her Middle Eastern stuff.

Mesmerizing. I knew nothing about Loreena McKennitt and her music until I stumbled across some YouTube postings of her while looking for other songs. I've enjoyed Nightnoise and similar artists, and I fell in love with her music from the moment I heard it. Very relaxing; very meaningful. The recording engineer did not properly balance the mix.

Enya - on the other hand - sounds fabulous but has at least 80 layers of her own voice in mixed channels.
