  • dont drop it lol

  • Wer hätte das gedacht das nach dem ICE diese Lok sich durchsetzt und den Personenverkehr an der Ostküste bewältigt.

Ein stückchen 101er in Amaerika (:0)

  • Yes I can. I'm German.

  • Kanst du deutsch sprechen? Can you speak the German Languae!!! I hear German words!!!

  • being unveiled today in newark cant wait!

  • How do you know when all of the trains get unloaded? Is there an online schedule?

  • This will enable the Raritan Valley, North Jersey Coast (Trains beginning from Bay Head), Morris and Essex/Montclair-Boonton (Trains beginning at Hackettstown), Main/Bergen County, and Pascack Valley Line Trains to go into NY Penn Station when AMTRAK completes the Tunnel in 2018.

  • @FrankG5874 Don't forget the ACEs and NJT ACL Deadheads

  • Great! The the sign of the ALP-45DP arrival which will on the track soon for testing before passenger service.

  • NICE

  • That engine looks great! It will be nice when they are put in service.

  • Wow sharp!!

  • What up with this? And nice video!

  • Nice Engine, now Raritan Valley trains have full access to NYC. This is truely the future of locomotive technology, just hope it's performance is better than the PL42AC's.

  • I honestly CANNOT wait for this locomotive to run ACES

  • @koasterkidd it depends on the contract which will end by feb 2012.

  • @56yuoi which contract? the ACES contract? or some other contract?

  • no, they said that they WILL do it by 2016

  • i love how companies working with a deficet complains they need funding but the first thing they do is purchase $200 million worth of locomotives. kinda stupid really.

  • They could get away with about 16 units, but any more than that is a pure waste. They are unproven in reliability and cost nearly $12 million PER unit. But having a few of them ordered for Bay Head / Boonton could bring back a good return. NOT 36 units costing $420 million amidst so-called budget cuts.

  • Sweet! When will these brand dual-powered locomotives debut on NJT?

  • Looks like a P42 with an ALP46 cab scabbed on and a pantograph attached. Personally, I thinkg it should be a 6-axled engine.

  • Great catch! hope to catch this in service or in test! BTW how about a title?

  • GO transit is using ALP-46s in the near future and Montréal is using ALP-45DPs on its Repentigny-Mascouche Line

  • @GordonFreemanD40 GO only has diesel lines... they say they might electrify some tracks... AMT bought some ALP-45DPs , and already have the same Bi level coaches as NJT

  • This engine is a piece of garbage!

  • @trainzrok You would think that.

  • @murjax No murjax, you live in florida, i live in new jersey. Im automatically right. Thank you!

  • @trainzrok That may be true, but if you read what I posted on FB, yeah.

  • @murjax Murjax, you are a Foamer. You don't know what good is. Dont bother hiring on a railroad.

  • @trainzrok Hmm, disregarding previous comment. Classic troll move. I'm done. :)

  • @trainzrok How can you say that when it hasn't even run yet?

  • The face of NJT has just been changed forever, and for the good!
