For example 2005 Kimi had 2 engine break downs. Both in practice sessions (he had loads of more but not due to engine) and Montoya also had 2.
You are just basing your assumption to fact that you remember him having the most engine failures. He has had ONE in Ferrari and it was because some bad part. Same thing what caused Massa's failure just the race before.
If a team can't bring an engine that lasts the races demanded, it's their loss.
eh that's a good point. I was basing his engine failures with the teams he was with. He has had a few more than one with ferrari btw. And He has had the most failures/crashes with a team that is considered "good" . That's not by chance or bad luck. you can only have so much bad luck until it comes down on your shoulders, unless you are mark webber.
Hydraulic problem isn't an engine failure tbh. Neither was the other problem in Spain 2007.
He rarely had a crash that was his own fault in Mclaren. It was by far his worst season last year and it was highly related to the fact that he didn't feel comfortable with the car and those tires.
And he definitely doesn't have the most crashes (that were his fault) on a team that is considered "good". 2002 he had one, 2003 he had one, 2004 none, 2005 none, 2006 none, 2007 none, 2008 the horrible 3.
ugh, poor kimi... so much bad luck... i remember that race when the wheel fell off... too bad the car couldn't take the vibrations for a min more... but he finally won in '07, i was happy with that

I do not watch F1 but I used to race road race motorcycles for 11 years and I can say two things. Bad driving and poor mechanics. Bad combination. Sorry to those who like this guy, you are in for a lot of sad Sundays. Peace.
ummm if you don't watch F1 the why commenting after only 1 video you've seen ? engine blowing might be his fault but when his suspension suddenly blows or his tail just fall ?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Look I mean no disrespect of Kimi or your liking of the guy, but based on what this video shows, he makes small mistakes and so do the mechanics that are costing the team finishes. That hurts them in the long run. I wish him and all racers luck, but luck will not get you through the season. Hopefully they will "tighten up" the team and this will stop happening. Peace.
He left the team after 2006 and won the championship in 2007 at Ferrari. McLaren did clean up after 2006. Also, during 4:58-5:27 there's nothing he can do. The track is Monoco where there is no runoff, so he had to cross the racing line to get it off the track. It is a street circuit so it can't be helped.
Good for him, it was a smart move then if he won right after switching. I have raced for organizations that are plagued by problems and it comes down to the mechanics, trust me. If he makes driving errors, it could even be because he doesn't fully trust his machine and his mechanics. I know. Ferrari's rule anyway, you got to love them. I ride a Ducati and used to ride a Vespa way back in high school. Italian machines are divine. Peace.
All u people neging me, especially this guy, u are idiots. Reread what I wrote. I am commenting on WHAT I AM SEEING IN THE VIDEO MORONS! F1 teams don't spend millions of dollars on R&D 2 have suspensions fall apart under minimal load or fins fly off. Your mechanic has to screw up to make these things happen. Is it possible I see things u don't because of my experience & thousands of track miles? How many laps have u done? Then at 4:58-5:27 what is he doing? Blown engines drop oil on racing lines
Ehm, Raikkonnen is (one of the) best driver(s) in the F1, but in his years at mclaren, he never had a chance to be a champion. For example the rear wing of his mclaren. He had more than 5 times a rear wing failure in f1 at mclaren. Much more than the other drivers there! And the McLaren wasnt reliable (sorry if this is wrong, i used google translator for the german word "zuverlässig") enough. But in 2007, he IS the Champion, in his first season at Ferrari!
As you've obviously not seen F1 it's easy to see that you're clueless. Drivers don't break their engines period. It wasn't Massa's fault that he lost the title due to engine blow this year.

I never wrote I have NEVER watched F1, just that I do not watch it now, or that he blew a motor because of his driving. Because of these FACTS...it is obvious you are clueless. I was not referring to this year at all, but THIS VIDEO moron, like I did write earlier if you bothered to read. I ask you how many miles have you driven on a racetrack that makes you better trained then me? Ha ha. You are clueless and a waist of resources keeping your meager existence alive. Ha ha. Piss off moron.
how? . well f1 is all about finesse and precision. driving a car hard is one thing but driving it smoothly is something Kimi hasn't done in quite awhile.
that were bad luck; kimi`s fault-spain,canada 2003,australia,europe,brazil 2005,hungary 2006,monaco 2007,australia,belgium,singapore 2008. In 2008 kimi was having a problem with the qualifying on the front. his mistake

OMG! :( That was so sad... brought back some awful memories!!! Have you seen this Hamilton???!! You are super-lucky... I'm just keep wondering where all those unreliability has gone?
I cant understand how he stays cool aafter he lost and lost and lost just because of bad luck. Watching this vid with the background music i allmost cried but justice was served. With all his bad luck he won the title in the most unbelievable way. He's the best ever in F1 and if he didnt have this luck he would've had at least 3 titles
after watching races and reading up on 03 and 05 seasons, ive found the most eas mistakes from tham: 1- in 03 at the first race kimi got penalty for speeding which prevented him from winning the race which would have gave him 4 extra points putting him front of MS, in 05 if he won the earopean and german GP's he wouldhave gained 24 points over FA putting him in front yet again, the latter were not his fault but could easily have been avoided
Look at how he opens his visor and rests his hands up at 00:38. Poor Kimi! He should have been pretty disgusted at some of his McLaren car failures. Considering all the talk about he is not expressive, blah, blah, I am amazed how many passionate fans Kimi has got. I am sure there are lot more fans for Ferrari (which has a fair few anyway) and lot more for Kimi.

The fact that you think you see how he destroys his engines in this video is utterly hilarious. You're just making yourself look stupid.
And no matter how much you've driven on the track, you don't even have 1/10 of the skill this guy has. So please be quiet.
