  • Don't look at me, look at HIM! DEMON! DEMON! STOP HIM! STOP HIM! (But only listen to what I say about him, don't think for yourself.)

  • I shall most definitely be voting Green. Being reminded about the BNP only makes me want to try harder to fight discrimination.

  • @johnkenwright The green party believes in positive discrimination.

  • What a joke, why are you fighting to stop the BNP when you've got thugs like Brown sitting in parliament. You people are ludicrous.

  • Since when was "Gayness" a school subject? And since when is "it" promoted? LOL.

I do believe that sex education should include homosexuality since it is a REAL thing, and it's not going to go away.

People go on gay pride marches because of the oppressive society we live in. If gay people weren't discriminated then would they need to stand up for themselves publicly?

  • Comment removed

  • how do they promote gayness?

getting rid of gay sexual health tips from SexEd isnt gonna stop gay sex from happening.

its just gonna let it happen but with more risk.

and if its no business what people get up to in their bedrooms then dont promote heterosexuality all over the media either.

  • omg are you actually that stupid?

The BNP is a Nazi party becuase they want every person who isn't pureblood british out of britain, plus everyone who doesn't support them. So even if you were born and bred in britain for centuries, they'd kick you out of the country, or shoot you if you refused. They are complete racists and homophobics, exactly the same as the Nazi's were.

    Now do you get it?

I don't even support the labour party, I never said I did. Everyone imposes views onto kids so shut up

  • your talking shit. thier not going to shoot anybody.how many blacks can trace thier bloodline back centuries in the uk?

and why are the bnp homophobic?

  • I said WHITE people who can trace their bloodline back. If the BNP were actually in control of the government they would chuck everyone out who protested against them, and if they refuse, who knows what they would do, you never know, they could shoot you.

Griffin and the BNP deny that they are a homophobic organisation, but in 1999 Griffin attacked gay people saying that they flaunted "their perversion" and said this showed why "so many ordinary people find these creatures so repulsive".

  • "If the BNP were actually in control of the government they would chuck everyone out who protested against them,"

what a load of cack, were are u getting this from ? lilly allen?

  • Well what do you think they would do if over half of the white population protested against coloured people being deported from the country?

and I never listen to anything Lily Allen has to say, she's usually just slagging Cheryl Cole or someone off.

You've come up with a load of things that I've just proved to you are correct, and now you're just coming up with stupid excuses. Idiot.

  • theyre homophobic because they want to get rid of promotion of homosexuality. even though there is none anyway, so their definition of promotion is obviously acceptance.

and every remark ive ever made against the bnp has been met with incredible graphic homophobic insults.

  • 0:17 well the bnp were pushed into 6th :)

but they did win two seats :(

  • Gorphoz, how can a video explaining a voting system that hardly anyone understands be undemocatic? In the entire campaign, did you see anyone on the BBC or other media describing how the vote count worked? As for the BNP, they are far right, and they only allow white folks to become members, so that's not very democratic.

  • We can only hope that the Bnp winnig seats will show the risk of voter apathy overall the greens had a higher proportion of the vote but not enough in this region.

Also finally a video explaining how the voting system in the election works

  • I'm sorry what is this video for?

Promoting the green party or attacking the BNP? They say that BNP is a far right undemocratic party, I find this to be equally undemocratic.

  • there is a difference between being far right and being authoritarian.

the BNP are economically much further to the left than any of the three major parties. however, socially they are highly authoritarian.

you can be libertarian right wing too, like the lib dems and the american libertarian party are.

do not be fooled by the term "right wing". Right wing does not always mean authoritarian.

the BNP are authoritarian centrists. some even consider them to be centre left.

  • BNP are a tumour in politics, if you don't stop them it will grow and grow until it is too late

  • The BNP are only one group of fascists in the current British political landscape. There are also the Islamofascists to worry about. I am opposed to both.

  • Comment removed

  • Surely that the BNP got voted in isn't the issue, especially given that this happened democratically. The question is why the BNP got so many votes in the first place as opposed to any other party?

Those who didn't bother to vote due to appathy or protest have no right to complain. They withheld their vote, the democratic process went ahead without them, yet now they complain about the results.

And for those who did vote and who aren't content with the result: I'm afraid that's democracy.

  • The BNP vote actually did go down, its due to a low turnout they have gotten 2 MEP's:/

  • Yes, i was just reading about that. But even so, it still raises questions about just what the other parties think they are doing that they lost so many bloody votes.

And as said previously: if so many people withheld their votes that the BNP got seats instead, they've no right to complain whatsoever.

  • This seems more like a scheme to get a green party candidate elected, not to keep the BNP out.

  • The BNPs are pretty much like Nazi's, except maybe a bit less extreme. If they had their way they would remove all non-white people from the country.

And how is the Green Party lame? They want to get rid of student tuition fees and save the planet :D

  • i dont like the BNP but the green party's pretty lame.

  • i was going to vot lib dems but i'm thinking they've going to get quite a few votes anyway. Anything to stop the facist BNP.

    Go Green Party

  • Actually if you look at BNP policies they are socialists with a racist slant.

  • I support the Greens, but should you really be playing in the whole anti BNP "hysteria"? I seriously doubt there'll win shit, Brits don't exactly have a taste for fascism.

  • I knew that the european elections were PR, but wasnt sure how they worked, thanks for the info:) Hope the greens do beat the BNP into 5th or worse place, im a Lib Dem supporterr but greens would definatly be my 2nd choice to do well;)

  • I'm voting for the Green Party. BNP is not only racist, but also comprised of criminals and thugs.

Only stupid people will be taken in by their hate-mongering.

  • Go Greens!!!

  • So not "vote for us because of our policies", but "vote for us as it's a vote against another party".

Do you not think that's kinda lame?

I'm gonna vote UKIP as I'm opposed to the EU. The greens, although wanting ammendments to the Lisbon treaty, are pro-EU. You'll never receive my vote.

  • of course its not lame. to vote FOR a good party is just as important if not more important than a vote AGAINST an evil party in order to keep them out! many people are disheartened and don't feel passionately about the major parties, but do feel passionately that the prospect of the bnp having any power at all is an incredibly dark and horrible one.

also. i'm definitely pro eu. turning our backs on our european friends will leave us with far less trades, and less jobs, and without any allies.

  • You should, therefore, have the vote against a party as a 'little extra' instead of the sole purpose of the campaign in the NW. Your campaign should be specific towards the Greens stance on the EU, and the relationship it has with the UK. For example, your party was AGAINST the Lisbon treaty in the format that it's in - this should be stated.

  • no don't understand why you don't see the logic of a vote against a party. it is very clever. to me, and to many others the bnp are sick and nasty. and i would rather use my vote to vote for a LESSER EVIL than not vote at all because I have lots faith in the major parties like so many people have.

  • Also, it's highly debatable as to hoe many jobs have been created by the EU. A political union is not necessary for trade either, only for labour movement. As for them being our 'allies' - we'll see. Recently, there has been oil found around the Fawklands, and I'm sure Argentinia will be pressing for ownership again. If war occurs, I don't foresee anyone bar the US aiding us.

  • To state we'd be without allies outside of the EU is not only naive, it's scare-mongering, and you should be ashamed of yourself. The Auzzies, the Canadians, and the US have been our main allies for a long time now NOT European countries.

  • hahaha sorry.

"it's scare-mongering, and you should be ashamed of yourself"

ppff i'm not exactly declaring this while in a position of power or in any kind of media outlet. besides, the bnp's whole campaign is about scare mongering! have you forgotten of their lies about islam trying to destroy the world!?

  • You don't need to be in a position of power to scare-monger. Perhaps you are someones' boss, or have strong influence on your friends, c0-workers, family etc. The fact remains that it's utter tripe that we require the EU for progress. I could easily compile an argument that the EU is a debilitating factor on our infrastructure. I'm sure the net loss of £6bill could be used more wisely at home.

I agree, the BNP also scare-monger.

  • Yeah I would vote UKIP.

  • Id vote UKIP before id vote BNP and im pro-EU!!!

  • I think people just need to look at our policies to see that we aren't "communist" ... or "extreme communism" ... or a "front group for communism." What we are entering is an era where all parties try to be environmental. And we need to choose whether we want a sustainable society that puts equality at its centre, that puts empowerment and social justice at its centre, or if we want a right-wing, or a far-right environmentalism.

  • So, your logic is that: "Communism has historically killed lots of people; whereas Fascism hasn't!"???

    ...idiot.

  • Your surely not defending communism in the 21st century ?

  • Of course I'm not defending Communism! I was just pointing out the ridiculous logic of samthegreencat47, where he seems to accuse the Green Party of being communist, and that communism has killed people historically, therefore vote for Fascism... which is just as bad - if not worse!

  • How to beat bnp in south west region?

  • Do people actually know what socialism is?

You're starting to sound like Americans who scream socialism at the simplest little thing, when it isn't socialist in the slightest.

Either get educated or shut up. Jeez.

  • As for the LGBT smears, yes, we need stronger policies against homophobia, employment and gays/lesbians and on partnership rights. The Greens want to end the ban on same-sex marriage. After the neo-Nazi bombing of a gay bar in London, in 1999 (3 dead, dozens maimed), Nick Griffin attacked lesbian and gay people for "flaunting their perversion" and said this showed why "so many ordinary people find these creatures so repulsive". The BNP has also campaigned in past elections to ban homosexuality.

  • @greenpartyew But think of it: if Mr. Griffin were to coalition with the Tories to require veils for all women in public, and then coalition with the Unionist and Labour parties to produce them nationally in a protected industry, a whole new slew of jobs would be created for our youth! We could even export the surplus veils to the Middle East. Then the Tories could take cred for endorsing family values and Labour could take cred for creating jobs. Everyone wins!

  • The funny thing about calling the Green Party "socialist" is that many people in socialist parties think we're too "bourgeois" ... we're a broad church, with a group in the party called Green Left, and other people who feel more comfortable saying the Green Party is radical or anti-capitalist, rather than socialist. We have policies that put people and the environment first -- breaking up big banks, closing tax loopholes, public transit (rather than private railways), and a Citizen's Income.

  • Anyone seen the site "Green Party of England and Wales' LGBT Group"? (LGBT = Lesbian Gay Bisexual & Transgender)

Greens not only want to promote a homophobia-free zone, they positively and proudly celebrate queer culture. If you don't believe me look up lgbtgreens org uk and read the Green Party Manifesto for LGBT People.

  • But I only wanted to help the Whales and Dolphins. I didn't know it meant having to celebrate 'queer culture'. :((

  • What the hell is wrong with you, yes we want to help the animals but just because they want to celebrate 'queer culture' doesn't mean they care any less about the environment.

  • The Greens have my vote, regardless of what any other parties are doing...but if it's maybe even gonna slightly reduce the influence of the British Nazi Party then I'm doubly all for it.

    Go Greens!

  • When the Green movement first started I was initially sympathetic towards its environmental policies. But over the years the party was slowly taken over by socialist elements and the environment has taken a big second place to left-wing doctrines. And thats the last thing I would support. Weve had enough of the Labour Party with their disastrous economic and social policies.

  • Calling Labour left-wing is ridiculous. They sold out of that years ago with Blair being TP for Bush, the economic bullshit they call neoliberal and all that. And what's wrong about sharing whealth and keeping the planet clean?

  • So, Edith, can I share your wealth? And come get my trash for me.

  • Hahahahaha, you're one funny man! D'you have an own show on tv or something?

  • I didn't say the Labour Party are left-wing today. But they did get into office on a left-wing ticket.

In the same way the Greens want to convince the electorate that they are essentially "environmental".

But that's no longer true anymore. The Greens main issues today are promoting third-world immigration, promoting lesbian & gay behaviour to children and other socialistic claptrap.

  • Like watermelons,

    green on the outside.

    red on the inside!

  • Green = Communism

  • The Green party is a joke who have no policies. You are a single issue party and would achieve NOTHING if elected...in fact, you would bring this country down even more than it already is. And where is Peter Cranes experience, eh?

Nick Griffin will win his EU seat, along with several other BNP candidates...

get used to it, because Nationalism is on the march all over europe...

    and about time too.

  • Oh, bullshit that. Look at the Greens in Germany, they made some serious changes there when they were in power in the late 90s/after 2000. And btw lame racism and stupidity are not that smart policies in my book. The last time I've heard about a Nazi-party in power it meant millions dead and Europe in ashes. Thanks in advance for that..

  • AHAHA

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

    No pun intended. ;)

Most of your policies are completely unworkable.

  • I shall be voting green. ^_^

  • BNP are left wing economically as well you idiot

  • well left of centre.... not far left.

  • Where's Nothern Ireland and Ynys Mon in the map at the start?

  • Thanks to all who gave to the advertising appeal - we got very close to the target and will be spreading the word about the close contest for the final seats in the papers next week!

  • Re the previous comment: UKIP were divided and sunk, but yes they do seem to be doing remarkably well in recent polls- oddly seeing as their MEPs are are notorious for working expenses and some have even been convicted of offences since 2004.

See the website's 'the score' page for this new 'FAQ' and how UKIP's numbers might change. But whatever happens, and however many seats go to smaller parties, keeping the BNP behind the Greens is crucial in that final round if Griffin is to be stopped!

  • In the video you make it look like it's the big three parties, then BNP and Green. Isn't this a bit disingenuous given that UKIP polled as much as the BNP and Greens combined last time?

Not knocking your stance - I'd vote Green by preference, and anyone against the BNP - but it does seem misleading.

  • All of our policies are spelt out very clearly on our website.

    Some are:

    - Energy efficiency measures for UK homes, schools and hospitals to create 80,000 jobs, reduce harmful emissions and cut fuel bills.

    - Free social care for the elderly to improve quality of life and create 60,000 jobs.

    - Massive increase in the proportion of electricity that comes from renewable sources - raising wind energy production to the same level as Denmark by 2020 would alone create 200,000 jobs.

  • Also closing down American ("RAF") bases like Menwith Hill and scrapping the Trident nuclear submarines - otherwise eventually the lunatics will blow us all up - Greens, Labout, Lib Dems, Labour and BNP - nuclear weapons don't discrimiate in terms of political allegiance or skin colour for that matter!

  • The Stop Nick Griffin campaign needs 252 more people to donate £15 to help put adverts in the Manchester Evening News and Liverpool Echo to get past the overwhelming amount of coverage the BNP is getting.

Please donate today to help make this happen - via the site link in the video info.

    And thanks for watching!

  • Green it is then.

Oh wait, I was voting for the greens anyway.

  • Yes, I wish he would go away!

  • please lets stopp the BNP

the science is there lets use our mind to combat hatred

  • great video !!

  • im voting green

  • I love the Dad's Army style graphics :)

Personally I will be voting Lib Dem but I hope the Greens get that last MEP!

  • there's only one way to ensure the Greens get that last MEP and keep the BNP out - it's to vote Green! The Lib Dems will retain their MEP anyway!

  • Comment removed

  • Briulliant video. Now I understand how important it is to vote, especially in North West of UK.

  • Not Green I hope!

  • I like the Greens. The colour of Hope.

  • Good little video - short, sweet and clear.

Peter cranie would have had my vote anyway, but I think this does help people understand how the voting system works

  • How about not reading the papers. Even the supposedly respectable papers are trash.

Basing your votes on how the newspapers portray parties and ideologies is rediculous. All you're going to read from papers is exactly what the opinion polls reflect. Whatever people want will get all the media attention to sell papers. eg. anti-labour.

  • You misunderstand the meaning of liberalism- don't mix it up with multiculturalism or whatever stereotype you like. New Labour are not liberal, they are the opposite, getting involved in peoples lives. The Tories aren't liberal either, though they are less interventionist (against ID cards etc). The Lib Dems don't do very much.

If you're anti-Liberal, then I assume you'll want to control people's choices, and think the BNP know better then individuals then they know themselves.

  • Sorry, this was meant to be a reply to Blo0dGuard.

  • I saw this BNP re-packaging coming in 2002 when their on-line advocates started banging on about "Muslims" in the same way they used to go on about anyone of 'colour'. They started their arguments with all the usual 'illegal immigrant' stuff & then expanded it to include everyone of colour in step by step 'persuasion' techniques that would have made Himmler proud.

The arguments they use about Muslims today are EXACTLY the same arguments used by Nazis talking about Jews in 1936!

    NEVER again!

  • what those bombs that were 'planted' at the same stations where there were 'excercises' just happening to be going on? Just before that G8 meeting where everyone sane was saying CANCEL the 3rd world debt & end poverty (while of course the banksters were saying that is "impossible".. despite now getting future generations of OUR children to 'bail' THEM out with several times MORE money than the 3rd world ever owed the IMF!?).

    No to Fascism!

    Vote Green!

No Left/Right march to war with the Greens1

  • wakey wakey!

  • Everyone should be concerned with stopping the bnp.

Why don't you go & read Green Party's Manifesto for A Sustainable Society? Its on-line! There's all the policies we need to convert to a more fair, less corporate, less bankster-led society!

You should look at Green Policies before suggesting the UK Green Party is against free speech! Don't be daft!

Nobody likes the idea of a fascist Europe (except the fascists) & so the best way to ensure there isn't one is to be IN it & clearly anti-fascist!

  • no there not..your idea of green is deportation.. so how dose that work then? by the way do you think being online 24 hours a day and spamming every video with vote bnp will really help?i mean you give no reason for us to all you do is spam without any back up to why we should vote nazi party?so whats green about the bnp?

  • you are such an idiot.. too many foreigners..

Think for once (I know thats asking a bit much)

& if you start throwing 'foreigners' out then the 'foreigners' start throwing Brits out!

Have you ANY idea how many ex-pats live in Africa? Have you any idea how many live in Asia (& that's like millions & millions alone) and then there's ex-pats everywhere else! In fact I defy you to show me a country where there aren't Brits today! If they were all 'sent home' this island of ours would sink!

    Fools!

  • I love how we call Brits who move to other countries 'ex-pats' and people who move to Britain 'immigrants' when they mean the exact same thing.

If that's not racism/prejudice/elitism then I don't know what is.

  • no because there only Immigrants if there in your country, otherwise there refered to as emmigrents or expats. someone in Poland could refere to a friend in Britain as an expat.

  • And there be too many a Surrey man 'ere in Kent. Vote fur der Kentish Party. Kentish 'ops fur Kentish beer fur Kentish men. Not wimmin, mind.
