Idk if anyone noticed this, but I OC'd my 9800GTX+ as far as I could, and the fps didn't increase. Then I find out that OCing the CPU is what gives you insane FPS on that bechnmarker. Like the guy at the top with the i7@4GHz. So I OC'd my q9400 a full GHz and increase my fps by 100 to 214 avg.

Actually, not even close. 20FPS is basically the minimum needed in order to have your mind be tricked into seeing fluid motion. However, you can still tell a VASTLY noticeable difference when you use higher framerates.

Although you're right, the brain can distinguish up to 230 fps jumping down to 80 fps. People don't complain about the stress test fps because that is the AVERAGE, but if your computer is constantly jumping from high fps to low fps your brain will notice it drastically.

That happens to me, going from five hundred to three hundred (single-player standing still in an empty box of an untextured map, don't worry) and I notice it because it's actually pausing. Your FPS shows you a hit but not a pause because it's not detecting a pause, the whole dang thing skips.

Yup cause they use far less power and aren't to much slower than the 8800GTX at all. If you play mostly heavy games(crysis) go with 8800GT/9800GT. If you play a lot of lighter games (cod2) then try to go for the 8800GS/9600GT (they still can play the heavy games decently while saving some cash).
