I have an 1985 lt250 and yes they are fast and light I beat alot of 4 strokes and a few 250rs even the atc 250r there frames are ok but pretty much good for a light rider and also the suspension is decent but not as good as the 250rs they are the exact same as a 400ex which I have one too

The thing to keep in mind is the Suzuki was the first one to produce the four wheeled 250R and the last to stop producing the 250R. So if anything honda and kawi copied them, The reason the honda is more sought after is because it is simply a bigger name. The suzuki performed better in the earlier years but honda decided to step it up in the later years and suzuki basically said fuck it why fix what aint broke.

O.K. lucahemi1233 YOU show me a video of an LT 250r beating a Honda 250r in a strait line drag race! It just doesn't happen! I've ridden/owned both, the LT's are junk! The suspension, especialy the front end geometry, is crap! If it was wirth a shit the big guy's would be copying it insted of the Honda R. Yes the LT's had good low end torque, but on top they couldn't hang with the Honda R's. And to DidUAskMeFirst, you must have some wierd wet dreams. Mabey you need to start dreaming about wemen!

Honda's dominated ALL types of racing for a decade after they were no longer available. Stock against stock the LT's don't have a chance. You've obviously never riden a Honda R. Even the new sport four strokes out today, have frames and suspensions that are copied strait from the old Honda R's. As soon as the patent ran out on Honda's chassi set up, everyone started copying!

actually the lt250r is just slightly faster than the honda 250r two stroke, but you can never go wrong with a honda. suzuki= performance

honda=reliablity/quality but they are both very well built and perform well. It is a minor difference.

Just because its a honda doesnt mean that it would beat the lt250r, hondas was the exact same bike, a trx250r, I have ridden both quads at the dunes and they are both equal in performance however I think the honda has slightly better suspension but that isnt a big fix for the suzuk!

@69thedrummer Your a doumbass, the Hondas front end geometry is completly different. The upper ball joint trails the lower(raked back). The suckzuki's were flat(not raked back) and the rear suspensions are completly different. Can any of you suckzuki guys explain to me why Honda 250R's DOMINATED racing for so many years? Explain to me why the Honda 250R frame is copied by by the new sport quads of today. They don't build'em like the old suckzuki's, they are copied off the Honda's.
