@Luke1337 lol? you do need winter tires, cuz they are the ones who really controlling your car, traction is everything you need man, yes AWD makes a huge difference, but if you have high performance summer tires on your audi (saying audi cuz quattro is the best AWD system) then you better call the insurance and tell them you are about to crash when it snows

It comes down to what kind of tyres you have on.

ie; a heavy open tread tyres, a bit like a mud tyres. I lived in Switzerland for nine years and it was the law that you had a set of winter tyres and a set of summer tyres. In the nine years I lived there I think I used snow chains about three or four times to get up really steep hills. On a personal note I would have a Audi Quattro A4 over a Subaru. Why? Well its four wheel drive system seems to cope with snow better than the Scooby.

I see where you're going with this - that an M5 touring is a faster car than a civic because it costs more. But higher price doesn't necessarily equal faster car. A 1 series is faster than a civic too and they're in the same price range..
