The U.S has a similar feel good story, Donald Braswell came in 4th on AGT last year. On his first audition he came out in a crumpled business suit and the crowd was mocking him like they did Susan and America was worse, they started booing him, but instead of running off the stage, he kept singing and his voice is a God given gift that turned the crowd 180 degrees to where they were giving him an standing ovation like they did Susan. I verified that this is Susan singing. A voice can change quite a bit in 10 years. I think Susan has a tremendous voice and can't wait to hear more from her. She blowed them away at BGT and she deserves to win. Shame on those who thought she had no talent just because of her age and looks. She must have been really beautiful when she was young as she is so cute and sweet at age 47.

I believe it is. In identifying voices, listen to the resonance...the aspect of the voice due to the physical shape of the throat and nasal cavities. This doesn't change nearly as much with time because the overall shape, with the nasal cavities, is due to the bone and not soft tissue. Most voices lose their "sweetness" as a person ages due to changes in the soft tissue of the vocal folds and lining, but how it resonates stays fairly static.
Susan don't make a deal with them. Do your own CD'S we will buy directly from you. Now they want you . But passed over you because you wer'nt skinny and a ten on mens richter scale. Screw them Susan , make your own CD's . I enjoy your singing and want a CD of more Blues songs. You got it all Susan.
Ask yourself if any of those men who criticize her looks have anything at all to offer in the way of talent themselves. And I'd be willing to bet they're not much to look at either.

I say that I don't think this is Susan. First, I downloaded this track as being by Kate Bush on Limewire many years ago. Second, it sounds like Kate Bush--her tone, her vibrato, her diction, the nasal quality. Susan is so much better than this track, deeper, powerful, exact, with a strong, sustained, chesty vibrato, more like Edith Piaf or Ella Fitzgerald. I verified that this is Susan singing. A voice can change quite a bit in 10 years. I think Susan has a tremendous voice and can't wait to hear more from her. She blowed them away at BGT and she deserves to win. Shame on those who thought she had no talent just because of her age and looks. She must have been really beautiful when she was young as she is so cute and sweet at age 47.

I believe it is. In identifying voices, listen to the resonance...the aspect of the voice due to the physical shape of the throat and nasal cavities. This doesn't change nearly as much with time because the overall shape, with the nasal cavities, is due to the bone and not soft tissue. Most voices lose their "sweetness" as a person ages due to changes in the soft tissue of the vocal folds and lining, but how it resonates stays fairly static.

I say that I don't think this is Susan. First, I downloaded this track as being by Kate Bush on Limewire many years ago. Second, it sounds like Kate Bush--her tone, her vibrato, her diction, the nasal quality. Susan is so much better than this track, deeper, powerful, exact, with a strong, sustained, chesty vibrato, more like Edith Piaf or Ella Fitzgerald. If anyone has vids of Susan acknowledging this song, please contact me. I would like to know the truth.

poetryluva It's Susan Boyle according to The Scottish Daily Record Newspaper, they posted this first , and THEN it got on Youtube /watch?v=jI2DxkrgpgQ . Newspaper reports its her first CD ever, done by Susan for charity ten years ago, only 1000 copies made! Owners should place 'em on eBay!!!

WOW. There is only one singer who can send a shiver down my spine any time I hear her voice and that is the late and great Elle Fitzgerald. This song is a very hard song to sing well. Susan Boyle sings it pitched perfect, and its sending a shiver down my spine any time I hear it. What a beautiful voice Susan Boyle !
