  • Look closely at 3:24 and you can see his right shoelace is untied. It would later become a point of debate in the propaganda department whether this should be airbrushed out for the sake of perfection or left in as a subtle sign of Yuri's very human, humble nature.

  • did yuri gagrin carried the flag of russia and stick it in the moon?

  • Yuri Gagarin, a real Hero in Flesh and Bone...and not created by Marvel.

  • Today we live in the feodalism ;(

  • Can someone tell me what happen to between 1:38 and 1:41 and look close to Yuri's helmet.... did he changed the helmet before the launch?

  • @89Sima i guess they did about 1 million tests but they had only ONE helmet...

  • Belle envolée cosmique !

  • @markovitch75 Merci à toi:DD

  • HANDSOME!

  • this is amazing

  • An inspiration for everyone, no matter what country you come from.

  • VIVA GAGARIN

    VIVA USSR

  • Great achievement for human kind.

  • Thank you to everyone !! It was a very beautiful cosmonotics anniversary & the biggest day in the history of celebrating space exploration.!!! I’m thrilled to see how excited people around the world are to celebrate the spirit of exploration and discovery that Yuri Gagarin embodied.

  • The video shows the triumph of a people. Yuri Gagarin is the synthese of this. The great nation for a great hero

  • Gagarin need be remember beyond of ideologies (socialismo or capitalism): need be remember as exemple human dream of to go beyond reality.

  • I have seen some of the children books from 1960's and little later.

In them, there was year 2000 and there were COLONIES on moon and huge factory complexes on the earth's orbit.

And I really beleave that if the crazy tempo that had driven the space race in 1950's and 60's endured, there would be human foots on the mars in 1980 and that book would now, in 2011, be the truth.

  • @HergotH01 It may sounds not so tolerant, but i really think, that collapse of USSR was a huge geo-political disaster, a step back. There are no such great achievements as nuclear energy, space achievements, informatization and so on in last 30 years. US failed greatly as an humanity leader.

  • @narkoyan That wall was not build to keep Russia out of the world. It was there to keep the world out of Russia. God save the czar en czarina

  • @ThePrincessMoonbeam God is the Laws of Nature and nothing more...

  • Let's go !

  • the flights of Yuri Gagarin and Alan Shepard inspired me into rockets.

and more than fifty years later I'm still making them.

  • @lolahavasuaz hey you an american you have to know you will be the second forever....

    just remember it

  • Oh folks, what are some of us biting at each other for, like unhappy cats and dogs?

    "Cats rule!"

    "No, dogs better than cats!"

    *fight fight growl pee*

No, this is wrong!! Let's celebrate, Yuri would wish for all of us to be friends

    at least for today.

Today is for Yuri and for all mankind!!

  • @kittypie070 Let's Go :)) Поехали!

  • Super Cat :)

  • @eurolore Merci :))

  • @violine777 the Earth is the cradle of humanity, but what child is already in its eternal cradle?

(Konstantin Eduardowitsch Ziolkowski) as I wrote in your Facebook:)

  • i'm sorry i am only 14 old and dont know about him who is he? can some body tell me please thanks

  • @AnimationFunCartoon Hello! Yuri Gagarin was a Soviet pilot and cosmonaut. He was the first human being to journey into outer space, when his Vostok spacecraft completed an orbit of the Earth on April 12, 1961. Best from france

  • wow, nice to remember we were like this once

  • I like it how Gagarin was all cool and relaxed during his space flight ... like how a real hero would feel. He was a real hero. R.I.P Yuri, and thank you for showing us that sky IS NOT the limit ...

  • Great video!

  • @Nikopolis1912 Thanks to you! Happy cosmonotics anniversary :))

  • MOTHER RUSIA

  • The soviet is coming AHH!

  • More science! It is more than 50 years already and all we have is an orbiting space station, which was technologically avaliable 30 years ago, and aging shuttles, which are also old as this. I want my grandchildren to live in fusion-powered civization that has colony on its moon and advanced probes digging on every moon and planet in solar system. And grandchildren of them to live in society, where wars are waged with goddamn cligons..

  • @HergotH01 It is quite strange isn't it? It's been 50 years since then, and almost no significant progress. I'm pretty sure that there is something that we definetally don't know about.

  • @WolfEngelman the reason is will to do something. And since landing on the moon, there is no will.

Look at the first half of 20'th century.

just 50 years.. just imagine it.. you were born in the time when fucking - HORSES - were fucking major transportation instrument, and in just 50 years humans are FLYING TO SPACE.

I am amazed and extremely proud of human race. What it can do. Space program seems to me so premature and still - look what they achieved anyway with only one thing.

    - will.

  • Hurrah to all mankind!

  • Yuri Gagarin was a real hero. The guy had balls of steel!

  • I have a project about him (and the space race) right now! He had a short but a very interesting life.

Rest in Peace Yuri, you were/are a great man!

  • humam way of life changes ,we lived in comunism before, today in capitalism and democraty, tomorow who knows what, but events like this are internal for all humanity and we will all remeber it.it was victory for all of us,triumph of science and human courage

  • @astifan1 , I hate to be picky but internal should have been "eternal". I totally agree with everything you have to say though. Simply an amazing feat of human spirit and engineering mixed with revolutionary technology.

  • @astifan1 America definatly wanted to be the first, and are so stubborn that they thing 30,000 meters in the air is in space.

  • Say f..k communism, say f..k imperialism, say f..k anything you want, but GAGARIN WAS REAL HERO. And, although music is only inspired by russian propaganda songs, its VERY GOOD imitation. Maybe, russian members should share some real tunes.

  • An admirable rocket but it's obvious the race is between USA and china. Von Braun may have been the USA's miracle but Sergi Korolev is gone too and you only need to look at the N-1, Russia's failed Saturn V equivalent.

  • @RocketManUSA1 If Sergei Korolev had not died prematurely N1 rocket flew to the moon. In Russia, the heroes often die prematurely. In those days, most likely that this has helped someone.

  • what a shame there's no USSR amymore. There's only dollar, oil, war, economical crysis, apartheid and earhquakes

  • He was been killed.....!

  • Tribute to Yuri Gagarin- 50th anniversary- Song "Seed" by Russian Red Army Choir -

  • @lolahavasuaz I heard it was burnt in the movie studio LOL

  • @lolahavasuaz Yeah, yeah we'll see if you hold the same attitude when we planet our tri-colored flag into the Red Planet

  • @Katyusha213

No way these time you are one German short (Von Braun). Without your space program is miserable (two crashes of Space Shutle), in near future you will be forced to hitch a ride on Soyouz (similar like Gagarin).

  • @lolahavasuaz

    Shut up, bitch.

Russia is the only country to get to space.

not like your shit country I try to do a video montage.

    Poyejali

    Escuchar

    Leer fonéticamente

  • you gotta love the background music, it reminds me of men marching into battle to there known doom but are doing it anyway for the pride of the mother land.

  • The song's called "Hunt for Red October" not "Seed". Still, it's a good song, even if it was for an american movie.

  • @Katyusha213 Hello ! This is The Hunt For Red October Sounstrack by BASIL POLEDOURIS but this part is called Seed :)) Best from France

  • @violine777 Ah, but you know what I meant, it's basically the main theme of the film. Anyways, it works extremely well for this.

Yuri Gagarin - the first man to go into space. His flight, which took place April 12, 1961, became a symbol of the might of humanity, and it's never-ending love for discovery. While Gagarin was born in the CCCP (USSR), his achievement brought pride to every person, he showed us what we where capable of... (Written by Katyusha213)... So, how are my writing abilities?

  • @violine777 la canzone è l'inno della flotta rossa
