I do not know why people states that Nobu has a "limited repertoire!". Just look at his web page and the composition he plays at the age of 12 is remarkable. AT the age of 22 he has quite a large repertoire.
>I do not know why people states that Nobu has a "limited repertoire!".
People say that on the assumption that because Nobu is blind, he cannot possibly have a large repertoire. Nobu has been performing in Japan since age 10. He hopes to master all of Beethoven's sonata one day, and he plans to learn two new concertos each year. Plus, he's doing a little compositions of his own in his spare time. We all should have such a "limited repertoire!".
Thank you very much for info, I will check it out. I saw his classic concert in Japan in real, and It was just amazing. And he also plays for Japanese chocolate advertising TV commercial, which i did not know. Then one day that play came to my ears from TV, then i thought " wow!!!!who is playing this?" , that was his one.
Wow..I tried to learn this..left hand was a piece of cake. Then I tried the right hand....it made me want to give up immediately. It takes an immense amount of finger control to shift back between the thumb+pinky and the index+ring finger.
Man..anyone have any advice to help me for the right hand?
"I'm standing in the middle of the galaxy, showering the universe with my music."
Does anyone know if it's particularly hard for blind pianists to learn different pieces? Since they need sheet music in braille and all, I imagine it would take a hell of a long time. Everytime you want to check something, you have to feel you way back to it...
la meilleure interprétation que j'ai entendue à ce jour ... Hamelin joue cette étude assez bien mais le rendu n'est pas aussi passionné ...Je voudrais dire en Japonnais un grand merci à Tsujii ...Isère France 03/11/2009
When he played this music, he was 15 years old. I wondered at why he chose this music. His piano teacher was the first person who played kapustin in Japan.
blindness, his rendition Kapustin's "8 Concert Etudes is truly awesome. Love the part where strutes at the jazz portion of the piece is wonderful to hear!!!
yes, I know. And finally i got a ticket for his concert in Japan in November when i go back to Japan. YEY!!!!! I hope he would plays Kapustin as an encore, please!!!! I am sure i would cry if he does.

Nobuyuki Tsujii was in New Orleans, U.S.A. in 2009. He went to a jazz club, danced and jammed with a band. It seems that he really does like jazz - I just hope we don't lose him to it too soon. If you want to see the video, you can get a link to it from my "nobufans" site. Just google "nobufans" and take the top link.
