Good attempt , but when I use to make them in the take away, I was taught to push them down, till just before brown, heat is also important. I should open up smooth not have lumps, which will destroy the texture as its not cooked properly...

i make it in the microwave owen, much easier, no oil needed - healthyer.

I just put 5-6pieces into the microwave owen. At full power - 750W - it needs about 10-15 seconds to get ready.

Be carefull, it's easy to burn. So watch the krackers. when the it "blows up", stop the owen, and get out the pieces, and let them dry/cool.

@rhysrfc i think they're called prawn chips, and you can get them from chinese shops (vague i know) because prawn crackers are basically puffed up prawn chips (or crisps if you're from the uk)
