best song ever so great makes me wanna cry last time i heard it last night huge joint in my mouth with my windows all i can say thank god almighty for creedence clearwater revival by far my favorite band of all fucking time. Legalize it.
You know, at 17, living in Britain with nothing but shitpop, this stands out miles. I love it, and will never be embarrassed to say it. CCR are simply great.
1971 small town in South Carolina cynderblock shotgun bar and pool hall with gery painted concrete floor, 4 tables a bar at the back and a juke box with this and a ton of CCR songs... It was paridise, I just didn't know it.....
I never get tired of this music. My all time favourite band. Agree with Karlos, this song is melancholic. Thats why I love it so much.Besides its so beautiful, of course.
If you ever need proof to show that music doesn't need to be over-produced autotuned fake-ass crap, tell a person to listen to this song. Sure, even music back then was edited and produced and what you got on the album wasn't exactly what was recorded, but this song is just so simple and pure. Without a doubt, it is my favorite CCR song. It's a sad song, but it still manages to put a smile on my face because it's such a good song.
@AWOwns yes it was but it wasnt as "gussied-up" as todays crap even todays rock and metal is crap thats that is why i only listen to rock and metal from their start to when it really died in the 90s and also todays "goth" look is crap so i get mine from the old school goths of the 80s-90s and even renissance gothic style in my opinion just about everything today is shit
none of my friends know who "ccr" is. they know the classics like have you ever seen the rain, but they dont know the band behind the songs. i assume most of the world lives this way. its a shame.
@150rex It's a shame, you're right but at least you know people who know the songs. Most of my friends listen to the more modern stuff, so I have few people I can enjoy my taste in music with
@amadeofan1 this is goofymandan83 on his boys fd account. i;ve heard this music since i was two and seriously im a doors fan but ccr just brings that jam melody that i cant find anywhere else
@fdankert Had a 67 GTO convertible with eight track turned all the way up., a cop pulled me over thought i was busted, he just wanted to listen to the song, he was next to me. i didnt know it, pulled me over set in MYcar listened to Fogerty sing this song Lodi. told me to have a good night, all the while under the passenger seat was a dime bag. that was in LouisvilleKy. 1972. That was the good ol days
Al escuchar esta canción mi hija Jaqueline lloro y solo tenia 5 años no se que se le habrá imaginado por que me abrazo muy fuerte esta melodía que provoca mucha nostalgia al escucharla.
on all of ccrs videos so many people always post their ages who cares todays music sucks ok we all know that just because your young or old creedence is the best when ever my son is born he's going to probably listen to this song the day he is born with me thats how fucking awesome creedence is long live john fogerty he is a musical genius
Hmm. I happen to live 15-20 minutes south of Lodi, in Stockton. In the 70's and 80's, this area was indeed 'middle of nowhere'. There was a bit of a boom after the 80's, and this area is now a major commute startpoint for people who work in the Bay Area and Sacramento. It's sorta 'close' to many things. . .the foothills to the east, Sacramento about 60-90 minutes north, San Jose about 90 minutes west, etc. Didn't realize that a song had been written about Lodi :P
this song brings me back to some the greatest times of my life.. my stomach sank hearing this just remembering the amazing time i had. These songs can all be placed to random moments in my life, small details i might have passed by but didn't because of memorable songs like this.
I love this band, enough said!
