I have a 2000 VW Jetta GLS 2.0L I4 with the 4-speed automatic and I really wish I had the manual. VW makes a super smooth rock solid manual transmission but they can't make an automatic to save their lives :( At least they couldn't back around the 2000 and before. Not sure about the new ones.

@young7m It would be better manual, jackass. Manual is faster than automatic(burn outs are fun too). Automatic transmissions cost twice as much to repair than manual ones. That's why the fuck manual is better for a Jetta. You must have just started driving or something...You rusty dickshit.
@ThePoisonYouth Not really man, your clutch goes bad that's a good chunk of cash every time and it's more likely to wear than the parts on an automatic. I have an '01 2.0 automatic and sure, I wish it was a 5 spd, but it seems all people do is run their car hard if it's a manual. Can't find any in good shape
@deanml116 It's okay to run the car hard, it's got all of 100hp to the wheels. The cars you have seen probably run bad because these things are owned by too many douche bags who don't know how to maintain a car. It burns a LOT of oil, I assume that they usually drive with low oil. Considering I have to check my damn oil every time I fill up.
@ThePoisonYouth Yeah I know haha it's slow as shit. Cars in good condition are hard to find because of idiots that "just drive" so settling for a 2.0 automatic that was garaged was what I had to do. At least if you take care of them and add in a quart of oil every 1200-1500 miles they run forever, even longer than the 1.8t or the VR6 will. That's what I've heard anyway lol
@deanml116 I've seen a video of the 2.0 engine running on 2 cylinders. And it still kept it's idle pretty well. I wouldn't doubt they can go forever if you keep up with the maintenance.
I have the same car but I paid $7,000 for it.
I don't have those custom rims though.. I have the factory ones.
