let me give you a scenario; what if a women had just had her child and had a c section...and that women accidently got pregnant again, i dont know, about 2 months later. so as you probably imagine her uterous was goin to grow again without her wound healing fully from the inside. therefore her wounnd would eventually began to open puttin the mother in risk. what then?
You know, I love your videos. I just wanted to let you know that now I understand the ivf. I watched the movie 1984 and how they made the act of sex as something unpatriotic, where women were men and men were woman and it was illegal to love and be married with love. IVF was the only way to procreate and the blessings and rights we have as humans given to us by God were stripped away. Interesting movie..alittle extreem but it got me thinking..God bless.
We already went over this, ectopic pregnancies. The egg is fertilized outside of the uterus which will put pressure on the internal organs as the embryo grows. Depending on the stage of development either antimetabolite methotrexate can be administered, or if it more advanced surgical removal of the embryo.
You mentioned something about one of your videos but I could not find it on your channel, or pro-life play list. So I looked it up, apparently in the Catholic faith it is ok to remove the fallopian tube the embryo is growing in completely but to just surgically remove the embryo or treat it early is immoral. Two problems w/ Catholic approach; ectopic pregnancies do not always occur in F.Tubes, and you could be significantly decreasing one's fertility and increasing medical complications.
Leetist, please see our video post, "Ectopic / Tubal Pregnancies & Abortion Ethics Pro-Life Anti-Abortion Video" -- this was the video I was referring to earlier.
I watched it and still not convinced. Your video is essentially saying this "wait it out until it dies then we will remove the entire fallopian tube." This approach exposes the woman to extreme pain, possible medical complications and infertility/lowered fertility after F. Tube is removed. It is far safer to administer methotrexate or microsurgery performed early. The video still does not answer what a woman is supposed to do if the embryo forms outside BOTH the uterus and F. tube.
Do many Catholics believe in this treatment for ectopic pregnancies? I have never heard of it before and neither has my friend who is Catholic and went to Med. School. I also have a background in medicine but brief compared to his. If my wife or any woman in my family got this condition I would strongly advise them to not take any risks with their life and health because of simple semantics.
Leetist, the catch is the "Principle of Double Effect" which is implicity in the video. No one is saying that the woman should be allowed to die. The video simply allows for the possibility of spontaneous regression -- if that fails, then, the doctor has done all that he can do -- and the inevitable operation has to be performed. This is opposed to the knee jerk reaction by many to kill the baby on the onset. Respect for life is paramount here.
Abortion is WRONG, that's all there is to it. If an unwanted Pregnancy should occur then the mother of the pre-born should seek councelling to see her through the 9 months an find an appropriate foster family for the pre-born.
It's because all it is is about have sex on demand. I don't meant to sound like a harsh person but when someone keeps pursuing sex and lust there is nothing but emptiness, and pain. Not only that, when the mother does become pregnate, she and/or the father don't want to accept reponsibility. This isn't love. It's lust.
Have you noticed Christian families who wait until marrige to have sex are much happier and when problems come, they are able to solve them? This is what true love is.
Those who plan and wait, appreciate. The couple that marry before they have intercourse for conception are statistically more likely to provide a balanced structured living environment full of compassion and 'tools for life' for their child. These are the ones that have respect for life.
by the way im a 100% pro life
:)

Leetist, no, the catch is the "Principle of Double Effect" which is implicity in the video. Please read up on this topic.
