  • wow excellent demo, the presenter is fantastic. I wish all demos were like this!

  • how much does this weigh?

  • are those active pickups?

  • Wow that guy, I feel like I need to buy 10 now.

  • Is this amp loud enough for small gigs ?

  • @aussiesteveable I would say probably not, unless you are the only one playing.

  • @aussiesteveable It's actually quite loud and useable for a small gig. Check out my Tiny Terror review to see it in the studio through a few different guitars, as well as playing a small jam, so you can hear how it fits. I had a lot of leftover head room, but it was so loud where I was standing. Also, had it on the 7 watt setting for the live performance w/o a mic.

  • why am i doing this?? i've spend the past 2 weeks about an hour "youtubing" vypyr 75 and 120 tube .... every third day ! now i've discovered fender's mustang... and after 2 hours comparing and hearing those 2 ... I HAVE TO GET BACK HERE...!!!! why??? why????? that dude sells himself :P or his soul to the devil...!!!

  • Great demo :)

  • i can only say they should have put the badge not over the centre of the cone

  • @BodaciousCHILLZ you shouldnt put a mic infront of the cone

  • @jacksback1021

I'll tell that to Garth Richardson next time he tells me otherwise

  • @jacksback1021 Most do. It's the best reference point, kinda like a default. Then move it around to your liking.

  • This is not an Orange AD15 and only sound popular Chinese material ...............

  • There are too many dudes that can't play, throwin' up videos on here of this amp. This isn't one of them. Nice to see the TT in good hands.

  • hi guys, im looking to buy my first "proper" amp. i need something versatile and under £1000. so far im torn between the blackstar ht-20 and the orange dual terror. i know its all subjective blah blah, BUT STILL, what do you think would be better?

  • just this saturday i tested one of these but just the head. with the cabinet of the dark terror, ith a PRS SE MIke Akerfeldt and it just sounded beautifully. you can really hear the valves working, and it amazing how quick they got heated. very nice combo. i am buying one for my self too.

  • @tarhit9 Casswell uses vintage Valley Arts guitars. Very rare, very cool.

  • @dolphinmusicvideos what guitar is being used in the video?

  • Man I love the sound of Orange Amps! :D

  • Best amp I ever owned - sounds good soft or loud (yes you can drown the drummer out) makes a Strat sound like a Strat and a Les Paul sound like a Les Paul ! very dynamic amp

  • @Marthergunn

    you're right man!

  • OMG! You're totally HOT!

  • isnt this guy in spinal tap.

  • If you'd have to choose an OD, booster or dist. pedal with the amp (for live play).

What pedal(s) would you like to use if you play anything between slow blues and hardrock?

  • Is it loud enough to practice with? I'm playing in a punk-rock band with a really hard hitting drummer... Anyone with experience who knows this?

  • @jorells easily loud enough to cover your drummer.

  • what a smackin lil chube amp

  • doesnt the lack of knobs limit you if you want a scooped sound, with high and low up but mid down? if its one knob you cant?

  • @hellomum99 If you're looking for a 'scooped' sound,Orange probably isn't your best bet!

  • isnt that guy from licklibrary ?

  • @YAGGAAA YEAH, Mikey

  • @YAGGAAA yup....

  • Can you use headphones with this amp?

  • @Keskusrikospoliisi noooooooooooooo. dont think that u can do that with tube amps.

  • @TheMusicDude1997 not even with attenuator? just thought if this has a built-in one but seems not

  • Hey Micheal bro what amp its your favorite brand voice like Vox, Orange , fender ,Marshall etc? for any situation THanx God Bless you!!

  • That guy rocks!

  • Michael Casswell, you are great !

  • can you please make another review this amp with pedals infront of it?

  • @rvallejos96 Which pedals? Every one is different, and every guitarist will have a different pedalboard, and even if they have the same pedal(s), they'll have them set differently. If you need to hear that, your best bet is to take your pedalboard to a local guitar-store. If you can't, and have to buy online, sometimes you have to roll the dice.

  • Hi, great review. Can u make a revitew of the Orange Crush CR35 LDX ( w/effects )??

I know that is a low range transistor amp, but seems to be a great practise amp. Thanks.

  • best demo i seen for this amp..very proffessional with out the wanky crap!!

    Thanks

  • all chube

  • I like the funk...mmmm creamy..

  • can this amp get a really clean sound if needed?

  • does he hav emgs in his guitar?

  • @Kurfan26

    yes.....?

  • does it come in any other colors?

  • @citizenerased4567 Yes, also comes in orange

  • @kyus74 XD

  • Great review! Thank you very much.

  • i got gibson es 335 got a good sound???

  • 3:50 - which song is it ?

  • 2 QUESTIONS:...#1: will the 1x12 version of this combo be loud enough to play on its own with my 6 piece band with no mic? ( i expect not.) #2 if in fact it isn't loud enough, can i run the combo 1x12 version here through my 4x12 cabinet? i know i will lose some celestian sound, cause my speakers suck, but if i need to play out doors with em, thats how im hopin to do it.

... basically my question is, can i use this combo as a head if i have to?

  • @poobumm78 IMO, you'd be fine......I play a 5w Fender champ copy which will keep up with a 4 piece rock band going through a 2 x 12" cab. Through a 4 x 12" you'll be fine against almost anything. You can see in the back of the amp the jack going to the speaker, so no worries at all.

  • G-pick is the original brand of glass guitar picks,, get em!

  • wattage is NOT loudness !!!

  • Comment removed

  • Hey--where is this thing assembled?

  • It came in a box?.....It sounds more like it came from heaven!

  • would this amp be loud enough against a drummer at a band practice or a medium sized un mic-ed gig

  • thank you for actually reviewing the clean sound too, most people dont!

  • brilliant mate

  • absolutely the best amp review ive ever seen. this guy went over the features, talked up the brand, its quality, sound. he went over several things like how your playing affects the sound that comes out. and he can actually play too. brilliant.

  • I thought you had lost your legs in 'Forest Gump'?!

    Fantastic playing ;-)

  • @Spinmusicuk I did they green screened them back in

  • i bought this amp on ebay a year ago but for seem reason i cant get the tones i want out of this baby kind of a shame

  • 11581jogger. His guitar is an 1989 valley arts custom pro. As rare as rocking horse shit!

  • What guitar does he use?? What brand??

  • It sounds great!! very good guitarist and great amp!

  • If this had reverb I'd buy it.

  • Watts are watts - there's no difference wherever you are - it's not like shoe sizes!

  • 1:25 reminded me of the chorus of vinnie moores meltdown.

  • Comment removed

  • This guy understands tone and wails tastefully.

  • Cara, eu acho que sou fã da Orange. É sempre genial...

  • what gheeeeeetar is that?

  • i hate that guy.. he was the one who made me buy me line6 sider lll..

  • @dressingg he didnt make you --.--

  • @stevehubbardguitar. ............So!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is just demonstrating some dynamics you twat.

  • 3:00 "and as I pick harder with an amp like this" *ROLLS VOLUME KNOB ON GUITAR TO FULL*.... I see what he did there.

  • @SteveHubbardGuitar When he stops playing he turns the guitar volume down. When he starts again he turns it back up - that's all. Most professional guitar players do it to stop noise and feedback.

  • @RCbeastly He clearly turned the guitars volume up higher than it was before

  • @SteveHubbardGuitar Yes - he does -he always does. Most pro guitarists use the volume on the guitar to change the way the amp is driven - that doesn't change the fact that he also plays harder as well. Maybe he is being paid by Orange to make a dodgy promotional video - but I hve seen a lot of Mike Caswells's stuff and I don't think he'd sell out that easily.

  • @RCbeastly You don't have to tell me this... I've played 'professionally' for years :P

  • @SteveHubbardGuitar Your think about getting this amp?! Whats wrong with your FREE Port City amps? haha btw I've seen many of your videos and really appreciate your playing.

  • @Kyroshi1 Hahah.. That's not how an endorsement works - but I'm always creeping new products, regardless!

  • I tried one of these at Guitar Center and it was a POS. Its made in China and sounds like a borken speaker . Its worth about $100.

  • i can imagine him being a pirate :P

  • build one of these. not too hard, and sounds frickin amazing. blows this out of the water and i thought this souonded really good before

  • Casswell usually plays the original Valley Arts custom pros..... which is what this is. Only 2600 ever made!

  • what kind of guitar is he using?

  • @smackenurjunk looks like a strat but it doesnt look like a fender

  • @EVHfan5001 no shit.. if anybody knows please tell me. I want to look further into that guitar

  • This is a great amp. The tone is amazing cranked, and you can play it in a bedroom. Not for gigging though, trust me. Unless your playing in a blues jam or something or another. If you're playing anything modern or loud, not the amp for you. Not good clean though either. With humbuckers, even on low volumes you'll get a nice growl, but not so good if you want pristine cleans.

  • Where is Chine? Never heard of it!

  • is made in chine or in the UK?

  • @fransavoy cHINA

  • impressive review! focus on the amp like we wanted

  • @surfco. Dude..... you are such a cock!

  • Fantastic little bugger.

I own one of these, paired with a 2x12, made in the UK, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

  • Ol chube combo.

  • @surfco He is speaking English dude...... you might not have heard of it judging by your post. And his guitar is an old valley arts so they are emg pick ups.

  • Ol tchube combo sounds great!

  • Can anyone tell if those are EMG pickups in that strat?

  • Ide prefer 10 knobs anyway...

  • has anyone used one of these with an eq....is it possible to change the mids tones at all...

  • @stevoe1000 hey I have a Line6 POD and that has somewhat of an EQ on it. it sounds great with it.

  • @CountdownGods Do you have any videos of your pod with the TT.....thanks...

  • Hi I had some doubts about this amp but I bought it. Now I can say that is INCRERIBLE SOUND POWER AND QUALITY. I'm very happy.

  • i have this amp, im scared its not going to be loud enough to gig with it, im not going to do arenas, just smaller gigs, has anyone gigged with it?!??! get back to me please

  • @gromshit101 mic it. Also, is it just me, or does this guy remind anyone else of Paul Rodgers?

  • @gromshit101

i have a buddy who owns this amp and he has done a 500 person concert with this amp (but he also had a mic set up in front of it)

so if you are doing small gigs... you will be fine... and more often than not, wherever you would be gigging would have a way to mic the amp, just contact

    them ahead of time...

also if u can spare about... $200 extra you can get the dual terror, which has double the wattage of this one

if u have any other questions, feel free to ask

  • @TheFunnyzach na 800 was alot to begin with, but i love this fucking amp. the picking response is incredible, but ive noticed i hear a little dingling noise when i play it? is that a loose tube or something?

  • @gromshit101 my friend does small gigs with a 5watt blues junior with a 10" speaker i believe. it works plus the tiny terror is 15watts british which is 30watts tube us it will be loud enough trust me

  • @kabz555 it doesn't need one, it sounds great already!

  • Guitar reviews always sound more comprehensive with a British accent.

  • @magictownwizards Unless it's Keith.

  • I like this guy.

  • hi I realy want to buy this one but i have a doubt about where is made this amp, could be china?? thanks guys

  • @salamwood Would it matter if it was made in China?

But anyways, it is 100%, absolutely not, by any means, ever , no matter what... made in china; or anywhere other than the U.K. <---100% absolutely by every mean, mattering what, made in the U.K.

How 'could' it have been made in China, if it wasn't made in china?

  • @8x26x08 LOL!!

  • Great presentation!

Thanks for the info and the examples of how tube amps and guitars work together in providing tonal range!

Plus, the example of the difference in sound with just the volume knob had me at a standstill!

    thanks again!

  • @bassnutter. Nicely said!! Exactly right!

  • @kabz555 nope.

  • Michael you are as always an inspiring & soulful player

  • He's right about the picking dynamics and your playing affecting the reaction of the amp. Orange amps are very sensitive your your picking dynamics. Its very neat how the amp rocks from one extreme to the other because of how youre picking.

  • damn if you can read this sir , i want to thank you for playing the guitar. you're amazing

  • Hey, so I'm trying to find someone to buy my Tiny Terror... I bought it new, but I want more options... PM me if you get anything.

  • Finally a demo with the gain down!

  • okay, this guy is good, but when he demonstrates the more gainy and distorted sounds coming from the amp, he has to just hit and A chord or something so we can hear the tone of the amp and not all these fucking notes!

  • @MetallicaFan1108

So does metallica do that then when they play? Just hit an A chord?

He's demonstrating an amp and no doubt, a little bit of advertising for himself.

After all, he is a pro session musician and a close friend of mine.

  • @bassnutter No, they don't. But I do listen to ALOT more music than just Metallica. I was just saying that I think you can hear the tone alot more if he were to just hit a few chords.

  • @MetallicaFan1108

Hardly the measure of an amplifier if tone is measured by the stroke of a chord.

Most players that play lead guitar talk of tone.

Rhythm players ( i.e players that play chords, power chords etc ) talk about the type of crunch, power an amplifier gives.

Michael Casswell predominently plays lead guitar in whatever project/band he plays in. Therefore he will demonstrate playing just that.

The fact that he was asked to demo this amp speaks volumes for me.

  • @bassnutter Actually, tone can be discussed and talked about among both lead and rhythm players. Tone is universal to guitar players, lead or rhythm. And I also think that crunch or attack can apply to chords or leads. So either way, tone, crunch, attack etc. can apply to lead and rhythm players.

  • @MetallicaFan1108

Could go on forever talking about tone.

I responded to your first post in which you say about Michael playing all these notes and why he don't just hit a chord to demonstrate tone.

If he'd done that, there would be several posts saying bad demo of the amp!!

His demo is thorough. If Kirk Hammet demo'd an amp and didnt play a 'tallica' riff or lead, you'd be like wtf, crap demo!!

For your one post, there a several saying what a great player he is. Dont be so negative.

  • "If you turn it this way you get more bottom...and if you wer to play this way you would get more pussy"

Ohhh so that's how you do it!

  • great player

  • should i get this or a matchless dc30

  • "...and today we're gonna be looking at this Orange combo called the Tiny Terror. Fantastic little amp. All tchube...."

    lol "tchube"

  • Its time for orange to make a dual terror combo...which offers either 1x12 or 2x12. whos with me?

  • @eatthemoon13 YES YES YES!

  • @eatthemoon13 great idea!!!

  • @eatthemoon13 sir orange has the tiny terror in a 1x10 ans 1x12.u prolly heard by now but you had a comment on you tube .

  • @eatthemoon13: I really need a dual tiny terror combo!!

  • this guy knows his shit :D

  • Firstly I'd like to say great demo :] Was a refreshing change from the norm! Thinking of buying one of these to replace my Roland Cube60. I play a MIA Fender Tele, has anyone experienced a Tele through this amp?

  • @TenebrousSounds trust me on this one, check out a Night train and cab, or vox ac15, or egnater rebel 30. Those amps are around the same price range, if not cheaper so, with more options in tweaking sound, clearer clean and distortion. I tried out the TT combo today, and it was nothing like the video. WAY too muddy, and no matter what i did with the tone knob, i could get NOTHING i wanted out of it, just what orange gave me.

  • @punkmusicmetal and the problem with what orange gave me, just wasn't worth it. I agree its a dirty amp, but even the dirty feel just sounded awful and muddy. Although my criticism changes when using single coils with my Fender, it just could not handle humbuckers well, and using an od pedal did not help the tone. I was so excited by the video, but to actually hear it cranked up in the store was the biggest let down I have ever met in a guitar amp.

  • @manty90man You're a fucking idiot...

  • Really like to see you review the Rockerverb 50 MKII 1x12 combo . I know it 3 time the cost but I think it may be worth the extra bucks

  • Ool chube lol

  • @Teutonic1250

Tube.....how else do you say it? He's pronouncing the word is proper english!!

He's not american and saying 'toobe'!!!!

  • Hey, anyone know how the AD5 sounds like? i'm deciding between that and the Tiny Terror. Since they both dont have a 3 band eq, and I need smaller wattage, I thought I might as well jsut get the AD5. Plus its cheaper. any ideas?

  • @punkmusicmetal SO another question, does the lack of 3-band eq set this amp back? I mean, it can obviously do high gain. But I think being able to have more tone control will make me choose the Vox AC15 or the Egnater tweaker combo. Those can give me a range of great sounds, rather one REALLY great sound...

  • @manty90man Are you joking? Guess what digital tones are modelling...TUBE AMPLIFIERS. Tube amps are where tone started man, which was before the 80s dumbass. Are you aware that a solid state power amp will clip at high volume levels? Tube amps breakup and get warmer and fuller sounding at high volumeswith natural overdrive. Not buzzy shit tone. Tubes have more dynamic soul as well. and they don't cost $1000000000 you ignorant bastard. You are the most ignorant "guitarist" i have ever heard from.

  • @manty90man are you Fucking serious??

  • @manty90man OUTDATED? Are you fucking mad? =P

  • @manty90man OUTDATED? Are you fucking mad? =P

  • lietenant dan, ice cream!

  • He makes a good point: You control the amp, not the otherway around.

  • Sounds great, but even though 15 watts of pure tube may be loud for a combo amp, I don't know if I'm buying that you could use this thing for gigs.

  • @jeffhasnolife I dunno, man. I live in an apartment and I've got a 15W Blues Jr, and 3 is pushing it. Its LOUD. I don't know how much different it would be from a Tiny Terror, though. I want one of these next.

  • does this amp work for acoustic guitars?
