i remember rocking out to this song when I was six years old. My momma bought Rites of Passage when it was just the two of us. Chickenman was another one of my faves. In my six year old mind I thought I identified with it- being an only child and all. They came to Winnipeg last year with the Folk Festival and I missed it but I am definitely going to have to see them before I die.
I remember listening to this during most of my early childhood (until I was about 7). Galileo was always my favorite and I try to live my life by it a bit. I specifically remember this one moment, I'm not even sure what I was doing...I was laying on the wooden floors in my living room just listening to this song and crying. Anyway, that's my favorite memory: that a six year old could have so many emotions and have such deep thoughts.
there really is just some astonishing talent in this world. these girls are just wonderful!

I saw them do this last night and it was incredible, with the entire crowd singing the song with them! Just so beautiful!
