First off,you seem very hostile about nothing.Clip your string, just a comment about what was in the video,Just be chilly you'll live longer. So I have to sit on my thumbs to review the rest of your vids?
@deb1926 Not hostile.....just replying to your comments. Rather me not? Your comment about them sucking was inapt and uninformed. The video may suck because of it not showing anything happening but it has nothing to do with the vehicles mentioned. As the owner of the Blazer and a very good friend of the guy with the Bronco I take offence.....simply put.
What is the arguement, both of these trucks have rockwell axles and both suck because they didn't show anything happening. All vehicles suck, design characteristics and different line tolerance have allot to do with that, ever heard of a monday motor?
@deb1926 Neither of these vehicles suck, they both do very well. I know as the owner of one and the best friend of the guy that owns the other. I couldn't pull him out so a dozer did. If you weren't so mentally inapt you would invest a little time to review the rest of my videos where it plainly shows both of these vehicles performing very well. Ford or Chevy it doesn't matter get to building and breaking, not sitting on your thumbs commenting on things you have zero clue about.
@99dodgeram360 Well if the image is in the top of your screen then you have seen all that is going to happen, NOTHING. This video doesn't even show the truck getting pulled out but still dozens of GM tards have to chime in saying how Chevy is better than Ford only because they are brainwashed into believing so. Even if it did get pulled out so what? Both trucks are highly modified and that would only prove which guy built his truck better.
10.25-inch Sterling, tires 38 inches or taller used in conjunction with 4.10:1 or numerically higher gearing tends to bring on pinion tooth failure due to the decreased pinion size of the higher ratio pinion teeth. This combination also contributes to excess spider-gear wear and failure along with case failure. 1st generation, it is not uncommon to see a case split in half.
Ya i would say the 14bolt ff is a stonger rear end then dana 70/80. I even see fords with 14bolts under the rear of them. Yes dana is made by dana, but the fords are way different then the dodges and chevys, do your reasearch and the chevy and dodges are stronger. the only difference from a dodge and a chevy is the leaf spring pads are wider and they are completely narrower. fords diff is on the other side. look at petersons 4x4 challange, all the buggys on there had ether rockwells or 14boltff.
@Codybarspinner13 Once again, someone thinks just because something is more common it's better. A FF 14 bolt is so easy to find and cheap and easy to work on any idiot can do it. Same is said for the small block chevy and thats why chevy guys love them, because their small minds can locate them and figure them out. Don't you know anything about axles? HP Ford axles are notoriously stronger than Dodge and GM versions thats one of the reasons for their popularity.
@Codybarspinner13 You need to stop going by what you read in magazines. The 14bolt is in no way stronger than the D80. It's on par with the D70 and Sterling. If you would do some research(Real life hands on experience) you would see that the Ford front D60 is stronger than the GM and Dodge version. It drives on the stronger part of the ring gear. As for everyone using 14bolts, you don't get the reason because you are a novice. Everyone uses them because they are cheap and easy to work on. Kids.
@Codybarspinner13 I see way more GM guys that did SAS with Ford front axles and more buggies using Ford D60 fronts than I see Fords with GM rear ends.
landon460, what, thats why the 14bolt ff can take way more stess than fords dana 60. 14bolt is probly the stongest 3/4 / 1ton rear end you can buy. if you know your reserch on front dana 60s, then you know that the chevy and dodges are the strongest and the fords version has week nuckles on them. If you keep up with power block then you know that they build both a 454 and a 460 with the same parts and money to be completly even and the chevy came out on top with 30more hp... LONG LIVE THE K5...
@Codybarspinner13 I've seen far more stress cracks on GM 60 front C's and kingpins than I have on Ford 60's yet the GM/Dodge version is suppose to be stronger. Also, why are you comparing 60 rears to 14 bolts anyway? 9.75" vs. 10.5" what do you think is going to be stronger? Ford 60 Fronts are stronger than GM/Dodge versions because the pinion doesn't drive the ring gear on the weaker coast side.
@Codybarspinner13 Also, who cares if the aftermarket companies put more into developing the parts for the 454 than the 460? That doesn't prove the 454 is superior it just means there's more demand for good 454 parts. I'll put a stock 460 up against a 454 of the same year any day with confidence in power and most of all reliability in the 460!! By the way, the 460 they tested beat the 454 in Torque. Torque at low RPM is what matters in a truck . Long live the BB460 and the Bronco!!!
What I have noticed in my mud events is the Chevy boys are usually too scared they will break something in the deep holes(unless they swap in rockwells) so they sit and watch the Fords go at it. As soon as a Ford gets stuck out come the chevy pussies to try to look like the hero. I always laugh at the guys with the $20K chevy show trucks on 49" Irocks that do nothing at events and watch the low buck Fords on 38's kick ass all day. Not saying this is the same situation, just shootin' the breeze.
Its definitely not the same situation. I also think you hang around some different Chevy boys than I do. lol. I am a Chevy guy but no so narrow mined to think Chevy is all there is. This video shows me pulling on my very good friends Bronco, I was playing all in that hole just not that end...some 64" tractor tired Chevy's and Ford had just got stuck in it before he jumped in. He asked me if it was safe and I said yes...he went the wrong way. I couldn't move him, a dozer drug him out.
Also...lol. I didnt have much of a problem breaking things in my Big Block powered Blazer until I swapped in a HP Ford Dana 60 to get a little better drive line angle in the front....after that, drive lines flying and axle tubes bending were a problem. Thats when I decided to go Rockwell....by the way the Bronco also has Rockwells... I have several videos in my account that shows that I aint skeered to play hard and you will be hard pressed in any of them to find anyone
pushing their rig as hard as I am mine. Chevy, Ford or otherwise. Now I wouldnt make a dent in some of the videos I have seen of those mega trucks playing but then again Florida is a whole different world than Arkansas....no open mud bogs around here to be able to pin it to the floor for that long of a distance. We are working on it though....Appreciate your input dude....even if it is Ford biased. lol
Cool. I think mud bogs have died in my area. There use to be big events at least 6 times a year, now all we have are shitty dirt track stuff. No mud=no fun.
