  • Baby needs milk!

  • My my my....the things i could do with your nipples under the covers!!!!!!

  • What you save at the store, you spend at the gay clubs!

  • Even 'serious weight trainers' do not need to eat a half a cow a day. Our human bodies just will not use that "extra"protein.

Wishing for it and expensive marketing campaigns do not change biological fact. Our bodies do not use that much protein. It just makes very expensive pee.

  • The meat & dairy industries (who sell you high protein foods) and sadly, most of the USDA (who are really paid for or bought out by these same industries) tell you you need to eat lots & lots of protein. But your body just WILL NOT USE all that protein. Really. That's biological science, not a marketing campaign.

  • Again, when you're a baby, and your body's protein needs are the highest, biology gives us 6% protein in mother's milk.

Do what feels good for you - if you go on a "low protein" diet and don't feel you're getting the gains you want to see - go right back to a high protein diet. Just know that when people say they're tired, so they know they need more protein, that's being misinformed. Protein has next to nothing to do with energy.

  • You don't needs dozens and dozens of grams of protein a day, or to carefully balance foods. As long as you eat a variety of foods, grains, nuts, legumes, vegetables you're getting plenty of protein. And you get all the amino acids you need too - you don't need to combine foods/eat them all at the same time.

  • Your body does not store protein. It builds/repairs muscle, make hormones, a little is burnt for energy, some may be turned into fat but it's easier for your body to excrete it.

Sugars/starches become fats easily - proteins are harder to turn into fat. Your kidneys work to flush excess protein out of your body.

You buy/eat expensive proteins, consume more than 30-45 grams of protein a day, you pee it out. Your body won't use more than that. All you get is expensive pee.

  • Wow, Veganjohn, sounds like you know alot about nutrition! I was told that you need to have a higher amount of protein if you are on a intense weight training routine. eating more like 80-100g or protein a day; especially after you work out.

  • Except for people with serious food issues (they ONLY eat celery and saltines) or some biological digestive disorder, I have never heard of/read of anyone who does not get enough protein. The too much protein most Americans eat contributes to a number of serious health problems; from osteoporosis to some cancers to a host of other ailments.

  • Human milk is about 6% protein. This is when your protein needs are at their highest. Now (when you don't need so much protein) and at 3000 calories a day that's 45 grams of protein. For a less active person who can happily get by on 2000 calories a day it's 30 grams a day.

VERY easy to get. Most plants foods are well more than 6% protein. as long as you eat a variety of different things you get all the proteins/amino acids you need.

More protein just taxes your kidneys as you pee it out.

  • As for protein, you sound like a man who's been marketed to by the Meat & Dairy Industries very well.

I have been vegan since 1991, and I've learned protein is truly not an issue. Unless a person has a special medical digestive issue or a severe food issue, you get probably more protein than you need. I know I do. And I only eat plant foods.

When you're a baby, your protein needs are the greatest. You are growing the most new body for yourself, and you needs lots protein to do that.

  • You're pretty cute there, and if you've never had a luna bar, I recommend you try one. They are clif bars, made a little bit smaller, almost always with some kind of frosting, extra calcium, extra vitamin D and folic acid. That's all. Nutrients geared towards women, and you need them too. They are VERY tasty.

I buy them in a mix with 'regular' clif bars at Trader Joe's and my husband and I eat 15-20 bars a week. They won't give you big boobs, lactating or otherwise. That's just more marketing.

  • u actually took that dirty wrapper with u??????????? LOL

  • ROFL!!! How else do you expect me to A) show it to you , and B) remember do put it in my video?? :D

  • Ok.... that was a totally random video, but amusing nonetheless. :)

  • No, I am just that pretty :D

  • ur so funny

  • I'm a guy and I buy the LUNA bars because I have osteoporosis. Yep, I have a chicks bone loss issue. These bars are high in calcium. Go figure. The LUNA bars are just marketed to women. They are quite nutritional to both men and women. Actually, they tast much better than some of the other nutritional bars that are on the market

  • How much daily value % of calcium do those puppies have? I'm sure other bars have a decent amount of calcium. The Balance Bar bares taste wonderful BTW!

  • I'll take that under advisement. Thanks...!!!!!!!!
