  • If you really wanna know how to sing tell me where your located...

  • All of them look great !!!! Not to be rude or anything but was that you in the pic where you were buff and ripped and everything?

    Take care Ross!!!!

  • Yeah, it is me, with carefully chosen lighting to create the optimum effect. Thanks for checking out my stuff!

  • Hey Ross! I love the shirt!!! R U a Jeff Gordon fan? Anyway hope everything is well : )

  • Yeah, mostly because my Dad can't stand him. :P

  • Why would you only like someone your dad can't stand? Do you not like your dad?

  • Sorry I didn't notice your comment until now, but it's just a joke. My Dad and I tease each other with stuff like that. We get along just fine.

  • some of the drawings are ok, i guess, but they all just look like unfinished sketches.

  • What would you have added to make them "finished"?

  • harder lines, thicker and more realistic shading, possibly add some color. i mean the contrast in certain areas is overkill, like how the windows are super tinted and other parts of the car where it should have a gradual shade are completely white. it looks like quick sketches to plan for an actual piece to be honest. you have the basic skills i think but you need to practice A LOT more with shading.

  • I think you're imagining a dim, distant light source. If you have a bright light close to the subject, the shading ends up like I have it. Areas facing the source are fully illuminated, & areas facing away are darkened to extents related to the angles they face & their locations on their respective surfaces. I used dark tint (which some real cars have) so the interior wouldn't detract from the lines of the cars.

If you could upload some of your drawings to show how you do it, that'd be cool.

  • lol i understand shading, you don't have to explain it to me. i'm saying you're shading isn't realistic in terms of your technique, not the angles. the gradients are too hard, like you just coloured in certain, not shaded. you need to have a more gradual shade from light to dark. and yes, i understand some cars have tinted windows, because i'm not retarded. but they don't look like windows, wheres the shine/glare? windows aren't flat/matte black.

  • It's clear you have no clue how much time & effort goes into these drawings, so I doubt you've ever done any serious artwork. Yet you dismiss my drawings as half-assed & nitpick about every detail, even emphasizing some of your jabs w/ ALL CAPS & absurd hyperbole in your personal messages. Do you realize how snotty that is?

Anyway, I use gradients, esp. on round surfaces, but I have simplified things for an impressionist style. Your efforts to discredit me show how little you know about art.

  • You go Ross!!!!!!
