Loved the movie, the performances and the story. I wish the movie had better reviews, because I thought it was a thing of beauty, but coming from the perspective of a new fan. This director had a way to get under my skin. What talented kids they were. Really ahead of their time; original music, screaming vocals, blazing guitar, and tons of sex appeal. I honestly think they could be a hit today! Where are the 16 yeal old Joans, Cheries and Litas of today?

I remember her asking me if I'd heard of the Runaways - which I thought was odd. I had only seen some publicity flyers (which were super cheesy, BTW), but I wasn't familiar with their music, and they just seemed too contrived. She said you guys were big in Japan (I didn't care). We didn't hook up, but I remember Marie was cute! Enjoyed the film!

well, the movie is based off the book which was about cherie and joan. they were really close in the band, and it was all about how they both impacted each others lives. it wasnt about them being the better members or anything. besides cherie left first, and when a member leaves a band, it changes everything, and it was her memoire. the runaways were and always will be amazing! love them so much! and yes litas very talented :) they all are

Why is it that so many gripe about why they arent speaking more of the other players in the band. Yes, they are valuable and without them the band would be nothing. You have to realize that the business doesnt focus on all players. It's always the singer, and the player that can grab the crowd the most that is always interviewed or spoken the most about. Joan got this particular group started so she earns the right to have the focus on her.
