The world should make light of Jesus. Christianity was the reason used to keep interracial marriages illegal and it is currently the reason used to take away the spousal rights of gay couples. It's OKAY to let people have their beliefs, but right now christians ARE ACTUALLY oppressing others, i.e. keeping non-christians from holding high office, taking away the rights of gays, firing/running out of town non-christians. It's time to call Xtians on their bull. Rights are greater than beliefs.

But when do beliefs go too far? People should not be living by oppression, so Christian values should be recognized, but just as these values should be recognized so should the values and rights of other people. How can we live in a free and loving society when people are constantly pushing others away? If Christianity was constantly pushed away and oppressed maybe there would be a difference, people have a RIGHT to BELIEVE in whatever they wish, in this day and age believing is a privelage.

And a major issue with beliefs is that for the most part no one really knows if its true or not, and there's nothing wrong with that. If someone believes in Oprahism (not my forte) for instance though thats their own and their right. There's also different ways of believing in "him" then just one way, so where is the truth in that when people are fighting over ultimately the same thing?
