Due to this tension between the palestinians and the egyptian goverment, Egypt did not even want Gaza back in the peace agreement signed later. Ever since then, Gaza has remained annexed to Israel.

Sand is a politician not a historian. Most of the Jews in Israel are of Sephardic Origin, not Ashkenazic. You are right, but at the same time there is proof of a slave revolt that has parallels to the Passover story. Frankly, connecting religion to history leads to some major inconsistencies every time. Its healthier to separate... or be aethiest, either one works.

There is nothing at all which has any paralel to the passover story. The death of the first born in the entire land, would have managed to make it onto the records. There is no record of anything remotely like the story of Exodus and the events described in the Egyptisn record the sum total of which is known for the period in question.

The simple explanation is that the Bible, is largely a collection of myths and legends interwoven into actual historical events, which themselves are sometimes percived innacurately.
In fact where the historical record is found to diverge from the religious one, a paralell for the myth exists in much older accounts of other religions.

I have spent 4 years in seminary, and most of my life since interested in the history of the world and the Middle East in particular given the amount of cultural artifacts inherited therefrom in a Christian society. Wikipedia is useless as a reference of anything to do with such subjects, it is totally owned by Zionist propagandists. I prefer scholarly works myself. There is no evidence at all of anything like Exodus in the bible. No great escape of slaves and none of the plagues mentioned.

Actually, they recently found a tablet in the Sinai Peninsula that explains of strange happenings around the time that the Old Testament said the exodus happened. It talks about locusts, the livestock dying, etc. I'm not sure what it was called but i'm trying to do more research. You should try to find out more before you say something so radical

We have the entire Egyptian daily records for the time, and these are translated now. Even minor transactions were recorded and nothing remotely like the story of Exodus occurred. Most of the Pyramids were built not by slaves, they were built as public works projects in order to employ the Egyptian people. Jesus was not a Jew, the only tribe which could be called such, were the Judahites, and the only Judahite in the apostles was Judas. There were 12 tribes of Israel and I belong to one of them.

The Hyksos were not Jews. The Hyksos history in Egypt has ocassionally been tried to be applied to the Hebrew story but it doesn't work.
