Thanks for the video and for taking us on a ride over the city of Lucea, this is one of my all time favorite songs, I grew up listening to reggae, and it is the number one music in Africa, this little island has given us so much music and happiness, I love Jamaica.
Yep, was down dere last month for work ... not much change mon. Me got police mate then all can do. No mafia friend you dead mon. Some hot bitches enjoy, yeah.
i never been there. but i think i wanna go now after seeing this. its grooven. haha most don't have a car because the island is so small u can just walk across it.
@gordrulez ha ha. The island is 160m+ from West to East and about 60m North to South. But the mountains are treacherous and you would be crying for your mama after 1 mile of walking. But it would be the best walk you ever took.
i used to listen to this when i was an art student and i loved it soo much and now i have heard it again after 20 years and it has brought tears to my eyes ! forever Desmond.
it's too bad the american music market did not recognize desmond. he was one of the best and will be missed by all who knew his music. for those of us who know about this music-thanks for keeping his memory alive!
ha what sort of question is that? no batty boy but have no problem about who likes the music differnt people read into differnt things.. its all about the music not thesex..
OMG!! This is Lucea a small town outsie of Montego Bay Jamaica....I grew up there ...and I think I just saw the one Mini Bus that travels from the farming area of Donalva with Farmers....Mass papa bus....LMAO
What I meant to say is I set up the camera like you have and tune in to Majic 102.7 and turn up the volume as I listen to the old sixties and seventies stuff.Maybe I could post them one day.I going to Miami in June so shall take some footage up yhe I-95.
Out of all desmond dekker post, this by far is my fvorite... amazing footage ! This song is from the album ( this is desmond dekker )i think. Also know as 007 or shanty town... thanx for posting it.... great stuff !
This track reminds of sleeping on my mother's living room floor when we didn't have much. I hope that my children can relate this song to memories of sleeping on the floor of my yacht or mansion (I can dream, correct?). Either way, its an amzing track; thank you for posting it.

the first 007 books had Jamaica as background, also, Ian Fleming lived in jamaica for years
007 was very popular to the jamaicans in 60's cause of the jamaican influences and cause they filmed many times there
also, the rudeboys in england in 60's used to wear suits, hats, and carry a gun, like 007
