This game is one of my all time favorites. Loved the part when between every mission you could go to the firing range and try all your weapons. And the more realistic part in the missions where you took long strolls in the jungle! I will never forget this game. A solid proof that today's shooters, where explosions go off every 2 sec and so on is shit. I hope that one day we will see a VIETCONG 3!!!!

Dear video game developers. We don't want another unoriginal CoD-like crap with suicidal respawning enemies, thousands of pointless explosions, invincible main hero and B-movie story. Try playing this amazing game and you will find how a FPS game is supposed to be done. You don't need hordes of enemies and constant action if enemies are dangerous and really trying to kill you. You don't need a stupid spy plot if you have good characters. You don't need explosions, because it's fucking annoying!

the first 53 seconds were played on the menus and that always calmed me down. I would stay on the last menu before my next mission and just listen to it a few times to unwind and open up before the next op. It's so like what would happen in Nam'. It would be quiet and calm and then someone would trip on a booby trap and all hell would break lose. That is, was, and will forever be the closest they will get to that war without being there.

This game was great for its time, it had great graphics and it didn't require high end computer specs. The best game ever, there isn't even one game nowadays who has such great jungle warfare. They should recreate this game on the XBOX360/PS3 but with real HD graphics!
