it's a nice card( alot faster than my 4870 1 gig 3dmark 06 benchmark) but had issues with cat. 8.12 driver. Random crashes when playing crysis warhead. It could be something to do with the dual card config. but who knows. That is why I prefer a single card, less headaches. The new cat. 9.1 is out so hopefully that will solve his problems.

According to the reviews, yes. But if I had to choosed, I would pick the GTX 280 but that all depends on what type of motherboard/sli/crossfire etc. you have. The 4850x2 is a great card but the driver sucks.

My 4870 1 gig does a better job,I think, than my friends 4850X2. Other than that though the 4850X2 kicks my 4870's 1 gig butt.
