The IC gel flakes on my hair too. I tried it several different times with and without leave-in conditioner but it flaked everytime. I use the Eco - clear styling gel. I have been using it for about three months now and it NEVER flakes in my hair. It's only about 3.99 at Sally's. The jar lasts for 3-4 weeks. I use a lot when I shingle it so it probably could last longer if you don't use much. When I run out of the clear gel, I'm going to try the Olive Oil brand. You should try it!
dont try grease and water I did and it was a (HM) Hot Mess. I had the same results with the ic gel as u. i dont like it so i went out and bought some KCCC. its ok i like it better than IC. i also noticed that when i wet twist i get the flake but when i dry twist with ic and a lil bit of grease n shea butter its better :-) happy growth
Ok i guess i wont try that grease. I really dont want any Hot Messes over here. Im having enough up's and downs now. I guess i'll just stick to my oils and shea butter and leave in's and my smooth and shine curl activator i guess. Thanks so much for your help, it means so much. God bless.

Did you figure out a winter regimen? I'm still searching......Hair looks good. Glad you survived the clip :D My IC Fantasia gel works pretty well and I haven't had any flaking. I just use it with a leave-in (Giovanni). Give a try for a wash-n-go. Stay Blessed.
I havent really figured out much, but i think im just going to wear some protective styles like pony tails and wigs and try to stay out of my hair. Thanks for stopping by. Take care !
love the twist! eco styler gel is my bestie =) idk about to the ecostyler with olive oil but i get good hold without the cruchies dont remember having flakes either so me likey!! and its pretty cheap i think i picked up a 32oz from sally's 4 lke 2.99?? good stuff!

Suave coconut is my fav, too. But I just tried the Suave sleek and shine in the orange bottle and it left my hair even softer!
