@linutas exactly what u should do, maybe spread it on a piece of foil to make dry faster, then if its pretty much dry try to granulate again

@3981784 yeah i just came back and re granulated, in this batch i used dextrin and i believe it slowed the bp :( also it was bit harder to regranulate with dextrin already in. Now it looks good, have to let it dry

@TheMosh97 i cant say i remember right now as i havent made any fireworks things since the 4th and i started using red gum a long time ago. i think it was like 25% alcohol and 75% water. just go google it or search pyroguide its much better then waiting on me to respond lol

@TheMosh97 you have your solvent wich is the alcohol but you need a bindr wich works with that solvent, ie dextrin and water, red gum and isopropyl alcohol etc.

@TheMosh97 That sounds like it would work. If your using dextrin as a binder make sure to add a little bit of water(otherwise dextrin doesn't work) and be sure to Rey a small batch first and test it. K don't see any reasons why it wouldn't work.

If you use METHANOL you will be exposed to a known toxin and you may get enough into your body via skin contact or inhalation that it metabolizes into into enough formic acid and make you go blind. Stay with ethanol, as you will only get dizzy and not blind, or isopropanol.. One teaspoon is enough to loose your sight, and it's not much more before you flatline completely...

Hello , have you make you blackpowder before your granulated this in a ballmill? When i make granulated Blackpowder it burn faster then mealpowder it is then not verry fast i can not shoot shells with this . i make it with 50:50 water and ethylalcohol.

@CAIDMASTEROFPYRO well it will work, but it will take a lot longer time to dry, and the powder might not burn as fast because the kno3 might try to leach to the bottom of your wet mix, but it will probably be fine if you make sure not to over wet it.

@Vilius128 Did u use good meal powder? Also make sure that u use the isoprpyl alchol and a little bit of water so that the binder works. Honestly I don't know what you could have done, just make sure it's dry and u use good bp

i'm pretty sure it would work, whats it made of ? methyl alcohol i'm guessing, pretty much any type of alcohol or similar liquid should, you could also try denatured alcohol.

If you use dextrin and water, it will make much stronger granules then alcohol.

You CAN use water and 5% dextrin instead of alcohol and water. it's even better!

i dont have a ball mill ..y use a glass bottle and a metalic sheet (aluminium ) so thats what i use as a grinder.

the KNO3 was very pure, i cant tell you how much but i used some of it to make white stars and worked pretty well...

and!

i used sulfur , i think that using sugar is bullshit , because it makes the powder more prone to caugth humidity..i talk by experience.

maybe its time to change my grinding sheet

mmkay i would start thinking about getting some nice charcoal like willow or balsa, it should work well as long as it's not hardwood yours may work idk for sure. i think a coffee grinder might work better for grinding otherwise i would think about getting a ball mill if you want good black powder, good luck : )

i never use dextrin unless i am going to make lift for starmines, the dextrin makes the granules harder so it won't be as easily crushed by stars. 5*

a tip. use a mixture of 75% water and 25% alcohol. alcohol breaks the surface tension of water allowing the Kno3 to be absorbed into the pores of the charcoal.using to much alcohol can seperate the charcoal and kno3. but it looks like you got a good result
