  • @nephilimchrist Mary Poppines sure does suck but I'm sure Mary Poppins dosen't.

  • This was on tv every time but I never wanted to see it but now I do :(

  • i love love love this movie!!!

  • This was my favorite movie as a little kid! Still love it.

  • lovely piece

  • When I have kids, they will be definitely be watching these classics!

  • My dad took me to see Mary Poppins when it came out originally. He enjoyed the movie as much I did, maybe more. Watching this trailer brought back some wonderful memories of us watching the movie. I have seen Mary Poppins since, but it has never been as enjoyable as that first time. Thank you for the memories.

  • that bird still looks real ha, lousy Cocknet accent from Van Dyke but he and the others made a corker of a movie, timeless classic

  • i love it a lot gabor borz 8/27/2011 Aug Sunday

  • A movie I will always remember growing up with. One of my favorite movies of all time! Julie Andrews is amazing!

  • I just seen the live Broadway musical .... amazing ! I live this movie.

  • "I never explain anything."

  • best childrens movie ever. Period.

  • I love Julie Andrews, and Dick Van Dyke is amazing :)

  • LOL DICK VAN DYKE X'D

  • A timeless classic... It was one of my childhood favourites in the late 90's :P

  • Okay, I love this movie and I am a fan if Julie Andrews, but Mary Poppins seemed a bit bitchy to me. Anyone else?

  • listen to 'let's go fly a kite' when in the window seat of an airplane. MAKES THE ENTIRE FLIGHT EVEN BETTER

  • Wow, the trailers back then were much better that the ones we have now. I cannot stand the guy who does almost every film trailer: "THIS YEAR...blah blah bleck UNTIL ONE DAY." God it puts me off films so much when they do that. Just let the film speak for itself like this.

  • I <3 Her SO much!!!!

  • Many years ago my brother and I went to Disneyland and the parade that day had dancers performing the chim chim cheree song and dance, it was fabulous and my God they were good! This is my favorite of all the live action movies.

  • Oh goodness my whole childhood is flashing right before my eyes! :D

  • Very enjoyable. Thank you! Have a magical day :)

  • 11 people dont like AWESOME movies... or they just dont have a life

  • i wish i could fly....

  • They just don't make movies like this anymore..

  • @QueenBeeBeeMarie That's for sure; Disney had a terrible time with PJ Travers who was afraid he would ruin her "masterpiece" and of course, no one would ever have heard of or remembered Mary Poppins without him!

  • julie is so beatiful

  • oh man alles englisch...

  • i gunna c the broadway plAy 2day

  • Mary Poppins is definitely one of my favourite movies EVER. It really is magical, it just makes you feel so happy

  • Esta película es colosal

  • LETS GO FLY A KITE, MMK?

  • Sure don't do traliers like this anymore.

  • Ah the times when Disney movies used to be great!! Definitelly one of THE best Disneys ever! period! and omg.. this trailer is such a spoiler.

  • Haha,

Burt: Don't worry, I'll take care of you like I was your own father. Now, who's after you?

    Kids: Father is.

    Epic:)

  • The face Micheal makes when Marry Poppins comes up the stairs ALWAYS cracks me up. Such a sweet movie :)

  • this movie came to ashland ohio the weekend my aunt was born, in 1966. it is my favorite movie

  • my name is Poppins. Mary Poppins;

  • This is one of my favorite movies.

Thank you for posting the trailer.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • Dick van Dyke must surely win the prize for most atrocious "Brit" accent of all time.

  • @daccord1853 Haha, I always liked it, but maybe because it was sooo bad!

  • I haven't seen this since the 90's when I was a little kid. This trailer looks so trippy now that I think about it.

  • who knew wearing your pants like that would one day be in so called style

  • oh...i love julie andrews. she is perfect

  • lawl

  • I guess this is back when people would jump in and out of movies without caring to see the whole thing. Maybe the trailer was so long to get people motivated to stay the entire film and come on time. *shrug*

  • Sheesh, 4 minutes... I mean, Mary Poppins is nearly 2 1/2 hours long, but if played in theaters, this trailer alone would allow you to get lost in traffic and still not miss the feature presentation.

I chuckle to imagine rabid Disney fans camping out for tickets to a crappy film, just to see the Mary Poppins trailer, and then skipping out on the movie once the trailer was over. I know that would never happen, but I can dream.

  • @Radien Pretty much...... i know someone who did that, though not for the MP trailer.

  • @studioAREfan - Yeah, going for the "sneak preview" has become a more common phenomena. Personally, I can't imagine going to such great lengths for what is essentially a commercial, which will be on TV, online, etc. very soon anyway.

  • Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious movie :)

  • wow.. full stereophonic!

  • That was one very long sentence in the beginning.

  • lol this trailer gives away too much.

  • Creepy...

  • I laughed so hard when she said, "we are not a codfish".

  • I LOVE DISNEY SO MUCH!! All those songs, all the characters, walt disney you are such a legend for making these films for my childhood:D and Julie andrews is my faveourite actress:) i would just love to meet her and sing the hills are alive!!! and of course a spoonful of sugarXD

  • 0:50

    You're a little to close.

  • @Videot01 The first guy looks a little shocked at the second guys invasion of his personal bubble.

  • the 7th floor mystery 2009...........is 100 sure the scariest........check it....don't see it alone........they are sitting and watching it with you..........

  • This seems interesting!

  • What happened to Disney?

  • @eirino0369 Well, Walt Disney died a few years after Marry Poppins. That's what happened.

  • @gcx1 I meant what happened to the artistic and moral/ethic quality of the Disney movies?

  • @eirino0369 we lost the people in charge.

  • I found this very imaginative video from Breton2Robert called Julie Andrews: A Few Notes. Very original

  • " i never explain anything." OWNED! LOL

no one else can mary poppins but her!

  • this is the best live action Disney movie I think. I love Julie Andrews, she was amazing in this movie

  • Terrible eye-line @ 2:26.

Is that how it ends up in the final movie? Or is this just a cut for the trailer? Because I don't remember that scene with an eye-line being that bad.

  • i ADORE julie in mary poppins!!! no-one else but her could be mary!!!

  • the movie is much better then the trailer ...

i love marry !! and old movies disney used to make !!!!!!!!

  • I always wanted to ride one of these horses :)

  • hey mrs trudeau's class! ive got my eye on you nick...

  • Could I use this clip for my class? teaching mood and tone. . .

  • We watched this in my class when learning about mood and tone.

  • MICHEAL DONT EXADURATE

  • "Michael don't exaggurate!"

    LOL!

  • dick van dyke cant do a cockney accent for shit, hilarious film however

  • i agree LOL

  • @joelll123 --I think that he tried to do it. But Disney should've hired someone with a cockney accent to train him. The accent does not have to be heavy. But he was a talented actor otherwise.

Joel, would you train Van Dyke if offered the job?;)

  • why yes, yes i would ;)

  • Defenitely one of the BEST Disney movies... forever.

  • @ludopower666 Sorry. The BEST Disney Movie

  • Mary Poppins and Alice and the wonderland are my two favorite fairy tales! Definitely

  • I loved this movie as a child. Especially the scenes filmed in the park. I made a video where the park is the background as a consequence. Check it out : PRANKSTERS IN THE PARK.

  • Hahah when I was a kid I never noticed how weird her hat was! Good weird, but weird all the same.

Classic movie :) I wanted to see the play when I was in London but never got around to it...

  • Me encanta esta película, la mejor. La he llegado a ver desde que era pequeña como 100 veces y las que me quedan.....una obra maestra.

  • favorite movie of alllll times!!

  • I love, love, love Mary Poppins!!!!!!!!

    Absolutely!

  • how could you not love Mary Poppins? She's practically perfect in every way? This was the first movie I ever went to (when it came out) What a classic...."I never explain anything"

  • Mariah Carey always says her friends call her Mary poppins, bcoz she's pretty funny !

    hehe ~

    LOve it all.

  • this is an awesome movie and i'm only

    eight

  • LOL Bert the walking musical contraption is such a classic!

  • This makes me smile as much now ...as i did in 1964 when I saw it in the theater in Marville, France..(Canadian Air Force Base)THANK YOU>

  • I've often seen Mary Poppins, when I was a child.I still love the movie. What a great work. Always a pleasure. The kids are so cute.

  • I LOVE this movie!!! I haven't seen it since I was 10.... I lost the dvd.... but its still one of my fave kid movies!!!

  • Nice!

  • Amazing! This movie and The Jungle Book are my 2 favorite Disney films when it comes to the ones from the 1960s. Kinda like how Dumbo and The Three Caballeros are my 2 favorite Disney films of the 1940s.

  • supercalafrajelisticexpeealidoscious video

  • Superkalifragilistikexpialigetisch

is the german version. LOL I guess everyone knows that word in his own language without thinking. smile**

  • i like this version but still i think russian one is better:)

  • I like how she's fliyng with her umbrella :D

  • Well supersweetacockashitofuckoalatrousious it's the original trailer of a very popular disney classic.

  • Que` Cosa?

  • The Sherman Brothers added a lot of heart and soul with their songs. The movie would not have been as fine without them. They were excellent. I love the songs that were cut out--one for Admiral Boom was fun. On the special CD they sing it themselves

  • they show this movie sometimes on abc family or you can rent it or buy it but i would go with watching it on abc family

  • dick van dyke cracks me up

  • This is my favorite Disney movie of all time!!

  • Mary Poppins its one of the Walt Disney's movies that its very exciting because the music its excellent like supercalifragilixticouspialidosous

    and a Spoon of Sugar

  • this is such a delightful film...i love it!

  • i have not seen the movie and want to watch it but no one seems to make the movie on you tube!!!!

  • Try buying it then.

  • @sevsnape Or even renting it from netflick or blockbuster.

  • do search for 'meet uncle hussain - milk in a bottle' it's a great cute rock song about mary poppins ;)

  • such a great film for all the family. Julie Roberts deff does a great part along wit Dick Van D. love the music soo funny in parts.i went out this year and got the dvd. used too watch this all the time growing up wen ever it came on tv.

  • her name is Julie Andrews not Julie Roberts.

  • I guess I'm not the only one who gets their names mixed up...

  • HAHA this cracks me up!

  • nice. Thanks for posting this.

  • Mary Poppins, in theory, is a Time Lord.

Just think about it, she came from where? The sky.

Okay, and she has that bag that holds all that crap and she actually says 'Its bigger on the inside.' TARDIS anyone !!

Mary Poppins is a Time Lord. Time Lord science...bigger on the inside.

  • I like the fact that they didn't feel the need to have a stupid low voice narrating it, unlike EVERY SINGLE trailer now! Who is the person who voices all the trailers? Is it the same person? ( :

  • i LOVE this movie! we always watched it when it came on TV when i was younger... i am so dying to buy the dvd! mary poppins has got its own magic! this movie is maaaaaaagic *-*

  • used to watch this like every week when I was younger but failed to notice just how bad Dick van Dyke's cockneyaccent was lol.

  • I grew up loving that movie so much! It should be illegal for children NOT to see it at least a million times! :)

  • Great movie but the trailer sort of gives away the ending (the part with the dad)

  • ooh this is the best childrens movie ever!! i still love it and im 24

  • They would never do a four minute trailor nowadays

  • They were not so good in making trailers at that time, I can see.

  • The trailer is fine. People are just used to a different style these days.

  • i love dick van dykes scene

  • ahhh disney, when the actually casted talented people...

  • that is to true.

  • yeah, I know! Nowadays, Most actors are barely talented. Either they can sing but can't act or can act but can't sing or can't sing or act! (like Zac Efron for instance)!

  • I agree. There is nothing wrong with people who can sing but not act as long as the producers aren't dump enough to make them sing!!!! This movie is magical!! My mum watched it as a kid, i did and if i ever have kids they'll watch it!!!

  • same! i've watched it when i was a kid in CHINA! I never knew the name of the movie but always knows that it's a lady with an umbrella coming down from the sky + some kids + chimneys LOL

Today, My prof mentioned this, and I thought it might have been the movie I've never known the name of, and here it is! I 've found it

For sure I will make my kids watch it too!! CLASSIC

Come to think of it, I will get this movie ASAP and watch it!

  • @stefcullen10 ...amen to that - now their lineup is a rehab-drug fueled disaster epic... Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, etc.

  • Wonderful, timeless movie - still fantastic after all these years!

  • I wonder if the Mary Poppins musical will be a film!

  • well seeing how they made hairspray a movie i think it might be a tv movie

  • The Trailer Is Awesome.

  • I absolutley ador this movie and I agree with PiggyofGuinea about her coment!!!Love it!!!

  • I now remember i love this film. I'm going to go and buy it..

  • a very simple trailer!i love it coz i don't know much about how to speak or understand english that much so i can read and see the dictionary!^^

  • Wow, take a look at what trailers used to be! Mary Poppins IS Disney's greatest creation. Too bad that has pretty much died...

  • Mary Poppins Disney's best creation??? No way!!

    The Jungle Book is!

  • mmm, we have a debate

  • I'm glad that Disney was able to get the permission to make the movie after the Author finnaly let them make it.

  • I love how both this and Sound of Music have similar styles of humour. Julie's so witty in both

  • superrrrrr

  • Whoa, what a BAD trailer. I mesn teh film is great, but thei trailer sucks.

  • ALL trailers were like this back then.

  • i like the simplicity of the trailers

  • yeah it just shows that this was a great movie even without all the jazz and sparkle of ones today

  • so true! The horror films for example, what you see in the trailer is probably more scary than the movie itself.

  • Even though I am not a Disney fan, I love this movie

  • I love the books too...there should've been the other kids in the movie that were also in the book (John,Barbra, and Annabel).

  • one of my favourites! i love it!! :)

  • THE BEST MOVIE FOR CHILDREN EVER!

  • THE BEST MOVIE FOR CHILDREN EVER!

  • a truly wonderful film, i was obsessive about this film when i was little i would watch it 2 or 3 times a day! still can watch it over and over again and never get tired hee hee

  • Screw this "children's classic" stuff this is a great movie whoever you are!

  • I wish there would be more movies like this...

They don't make many musicals now-a-days.

  • agreed!

  • I wish most trailers were still like this.

Instead of that grizzly voice that says "this year". Not all trailers have that.

  • Can't you just picture what that would've sounded like?

"In a world where bedrooms were cluttered, one woman....was taken to task.

    This time.......it's personal."
